Traffic Video Recorder Fitting

I've recently fitted a Traffic DVR (actually a spare galaxy S2 smartphone with a recorder app) to my RX300.

It sits in a neat suction holder in front of the rear-view mirror and is quite unobtrusive.

Whilst recording the Battery does not last long but I don't like driving with a cord coming down the windscreen to the cigar lighter nor do I fancy the work involved in running a wire behind the headlining and the fascia.

The best solution for me would be to take a feed from the inside rear-view mirror, so does anyone out there know how to dismantle it to gain access as nothing seems obvious to me.
