I owned Lexus IS200,It misfire on my way home.I do not know what's wrong, for I just change the Battery and alternator,so I read the fault code with my

fault code reader T605 and it shown P0328, P0340, P0420, P0031.What's the code?Is iteasy if I repair myself?

Best thing to do:

Write down the error-codes

Erase them

Restart the car and see if they return.

If yes then it is time to start looking into what the codes are and how to fix the problems ;)

the fault-code reader you used has a manual that should cover the codes displayed by the reader.

And a misfire after Battery change could mean that the timing is of ever so slightly, bad spark-plugs, bad coilpacks (square thing on top of the spark-plug leads)

Hi can anyone help me i have a is200 03 reg i took it to a garage because engine warning light came on , he put it on diagnostic and it came up with multiple misfires on cylinders 2/3/5 so he decided it needed new pencil coils on all 3 350 quid later its worse than it was before.so he checked compression on all the c ylinders which is fine and all plugs are sparking. He now thinks its something to do with the ecu not giving the correct firing order.

Can anyone offer me any advice as i have run out of money and lexus want £110 p/h to look at it and cant aford that at the moment many thanks

I don't have an IS but I would think it very unlikely for three coils to fail all

at the same time.

I would check for dirty or part clogged ejectors and or HT leads first.
