Ls 400 Mk2 Passenger Side Door

Does anyone know if a series one rear passenger side door is identical to a series two?

On my series two I have small patch of bubbling [ rust, shock horror! ] near the window trim, a

really bad spot do any work on.

I have a complete series one as a donor, but I don't want to remove both doors only to find

they are not the same.

Anyone know?

Checked out the toyodiy parts reference and the series 1 part number for the door sub assembly which is the carcase that will carry everything else and must fit is part number 67002-50021 Left hand passenger front.

The part number for the series 2 model 92-94 is different.It is a fact that they did change the suspension after the series 1, weather that changed the body profile enough to require changing the monocoque construction is not something that would be apparent until as you say things are asked to fit.

I suppose the only people who would really know are Lexus .

Thanks for the reply, just my luck, looks like they are different.

After a bit more research I came up with part# 67004-50011 [1991-1994]for the door.

I'll have to search for one, replacing the whole thing and spraying it will be quicker than stripping it to a shell to access the bad bit!
