Big Problem.. Advice Needed..

Recommended Posts

Well... Have owned my is for 3 days now... Started to overheat on the way home from buying it but put the heater on and it went back down to normal so i was thinking maybe air lock or thermostat... However let my mechanic take a look at it today and he said, its the head.. This was a big surprise to both of us as it looks very well maintained and with no smoke or mayo or anything.. However he said he did a liquid test, which came back green and there are small bubbles rising out of the coolant :msn-cry:

Now the car drives perfectly with the heater on and i suppose i could just sell it.... However was looking on eBay and there seems to be alot of engines for sale... Or what would the cost of a repair be???.. Any one had experience with A1 engines on eBay??? Generally dont trust those kind of outfits but they have a lot of good feedback...

Just a bit ****** off as i was not expecting perfection for £1200 but at least something i could drive for a while before having to get oily....

Any advice????
