Guys

I am in a hurry to sell my car as I need to make up my deposit for a new property that we need to buy asap. I have had it on autotrader, eBay and gumtree for over a week now but no interest yet. I have priced it very fair, I think its a steal at £10,500.

Can anyone give me any tips on what else i can do?

tho might be quick to sell through them you might get a lower offer from them. you can get a quote from thier website!!

just noticed other 55 plate RX h's going for less than £10K with full service history and similar mileage etc so maybe you have priced a bit higher..

Aside from the fact that you should not actually be using the dealer's photos, I would want to see the car as it is today rather than what it was back then.

For a quick sale, you may want to seriously undercut the others that are for sale - a trade off of £X lower to 'buy' a fast sale.

Good luck with it!

We buy any car will give you £3-4k under what you expect :(

And yeah I think you've priced it too high for a quick sale.

I've had two quotes from them, a Honda Accord Tourer and an MX5.

The Honda was a good price, which I accepted with no problems at all - I got £200 less than I'd paid two years previously to an eBay trader.

The MX5 was a rubbish price, so I'd say give them a try, you won't lose anything.

Fair enough, sometimes they come with a good price then! It's just I had a quote of them for my old 08 plate Honda Accord. I sold it for £2900 more than they offered me in the end!

I've also heard of them dropping the price considerably when they actually inspect the car, again I found them very fair with the Honda - I put bodywork as no faults to save time when filling in the form online, though the car had normal wear and tear for it's age.

The bloke took fifty quid off, which I was happy to agree with, and he was dead straight to deal with, more like a mechanic than a salesman.

I think maybe it's luck of the draw as to who you deal with, and whether you have a car they want at the time.
