Front Shock Gaiter/boot Torn. Problem?

Hello please help me with my research!!!!!

I have noticed that the front right shock gaiter or boot is torn is it a problem??? I have fitted brand new front shocks for the main dealer and notice they havent replaced the boot will that couse any problems???

Open to any suggestions and advice.

That's why I said its up to you if you change it. It's just there for protection. Nobody is going to tell you that if your rubber boot is missing or torn then you shocks will pack up! You have to decide weather it's worth your time, effort and money to replace it. Obviously dirt, sand, dust etc getting onto your shocks isn't going to do it any good but is it necessarily going to do them any harm? Lexus don't seem to think so or they would have tried to sell you the boots!
