Is 200 Head Units

hi all i have just bought my wife a lexus is200 on a V plate very nice car but it had a problem with the head unit (error 3) quite common i read.. so i purchased another head unit it was manufactured 6 months after the orininal and is labeled as "lexus 13902" the replacement is labelled "lexus 13901" it has 3 plug socket on the back compared with 2 on the old one although the car only has one plug. is it possible to fit the new one in the car?

its not a straight swap no, the easiest way is to sell it and get one with matching model numbers, i tried swapping plugs with later ones and never got it to work...Sorry. or buy facia adapter and amp bypass lead to fit normal din sized stereo

one other thing if yours is just the s model has its own model stereo and takes a different adapter lead.
