Today on my Altezza i got alarm reconfiguarated at auto alarm/audio dealer, previosuly the alarm can only be activated/de-activated but cant central lock/unlock doors. had to lock the doors first & then press alarm key pad which was a pain.

now the alarm will lock/unlock the doors But indicators sometimes dont flash, i.e. when the alarm sounds off, i was told it may need a new alarm as its been on the car for few yrs.

have anyone had this problem with indicators not flashing? unlike IS200 i believe alarm not fitted on Altezza's? it may be easier for me to buy new alarm.

Hi

Sounds like your alarm is pretty knackered! Do you know what make it is???

I'm pretty sure that most Japanese imports don't have alarms on them as in Japan its not a requirement.

My FTO didn't have one and I know alot of Japanese importers put them on when they sell them to joe public.

Have a CAT1 alarm on it now as it's a good thing to have to lower your insurance premium (unless your's already CAT 1)

IMO I would get a new one installed as you want to protect your p&j!!

The alarm would do for now.......only sometimes indicators dont flash i.e. when alarm sounds off (tested it), but aleast alarm remote central locks the doors now, previously this alarm was fitted by halfords(those idiots) when my dad bought it few yrs back, they spent 2 day trying to get it working in conjunction with central lock system but couldnt.

This alarm is by LaserLine, dont think is cat1.
