Gs430 Tapping Noise From Bottom Of Engine.

Hi all. I've noticed a slight tapping noise which appears to be coming from the bottom of the engine on my GS430 while the car is idling. I cant hear it once some revs are applied. It is most noticable when I'm listening just behind the n/s/f wheel. While not excessively loud it is quite audible and I'm a bit worried as to what it could be.It will tap away for about 10 seconds, stop tapping for 2-3 seconds and then the cycle starts again. The car has been religiously serviced at the correct intervals by Lexus and its not long had a full service. The noise is there whether the car is hot or cold and the noise level never varies whether the cars hot or cold. I've checked the oil level and inspected the oil filler cap. Oil level is bang on and its spotless inside the oil filling area. The car drives fine, no warning lights on etc. Smooth and powerful as ever. Has anybody come across this before or does anybody have any idea as to what it may be? Thanks in advance, Jim.
