Traction Control Help

Basically it rained today, wanted to have a bit of drifty fun in my work estate early this morning, pressed traction off, power on, put it in manual on 2nd gear, pulled away and turned left and the wheels started spinning as expect and the back started to drift out.... but only for a 5 seconds before the traction kicks in, so is the traction off button pointless ?

Is there a way to actually turn it off ?

It's a vsc actually kick in and it's cant be turn off ....but u can by pass it, by removing one fuse but it will take out abs also.

Owe i see, well i dont want to do that! Its really disappointed me it doesnt turn off. Think i might sell her on now :(

U can swap it for is200 older model or alteeza , cos it dont have vsc but make sure u get a sport one cos it's hav LSD , I'm sure a lot people in welling to do swap :d, but u really a dift car get a mx 5 cos it cheap and fun!

Or fit bald tyres at the rear on days you want to drift and the car will be every where!

if i am to have an IS model it has to have the 2jz, personally i think the 200 engine is a bit lame and weak. and no to bald tyres..
