Radio/cd Fitting Problem

Recommended Posts

Hi guys

I need some help!

I own a (t reg 1999) IS200 and I have the standard stereo from the factory. I recently bought a second hand oem lexus is200 stereo from eBay from a (2001) IS200 as the one i had was not working.

When i came to fit it the unit had different conncetions.

Any sugestions people?

You have the wrong model of radio, the number on the front must be the same. Also depends on whether you have the S model or se/sport.

Have you got the cd slot at top or bottom of unit?

my main one has the cd at the bottom of the unit. I think it was the very first units made. But i wanted to change it and bought the one where the cd is at the top.

I tried to do the conversion and gave up, there's no adapter to do what you wish. Only option is aftermarket or find a fully working bottom loader im afraid.
