Do Not Sell My Personal Information Jump to content

Hi all, just wanted to say thanks for all the post's and information I gained during my 9 months of owning my Lexus IS220d.

My car was a 06 plate and sold it with 69k on the clock, I just couldn't relax when driving it due to the engine/ gearbox configuration, I was constantly changing up and down the gears. Reading through the forum I had a good one obtaining on average 46.5 during my ownership. Lovely looking car exterior/ interior and relatively quiet to drive.

I was looking to change to Audi A4/ A6, in the end I went for a 09 VW Passat CC.

Plus points over the Lexus in my opinion are - Smoother gearbox/ better ratio. More room front/ rear. Larger boot. Split/ folding rear seats. Economy - early indications 55mpg! The one thing I will miss is the sound system even though it was just the basic system, probably one of the best available.

Anyway thanks again and hope you all enjoy owning/ driving your Lexus. :shifty::driving:

Health to drive buddy, Passat CC's are lovely, I've driven a few and really liked them. The VAG 2.0 CR engine is a peach, we have the same engine in a Jetta Sport (140) and as you say it's much, much better geared and very economical.
