Got An Aux Port And Want To Play The Music From Your Phone In Your Car

Recommended Posts

I assume this has been covered before but for everyone who doesn't know.... read on.

If you have an aux port in your armrest then you can plug in a Bluetooth receiver such as the

Blackberry Bluetooth Stereo Gateway: http://www.play.com/Mobiles/Mobile/-/531/688/-/13864159/Blackberry-Bluetooth-Stereo-Gateway/Product.html or the HTC Bluetooth StereoClip:http://www.htc.com/uk/accessories/htc-bluetooth-stereoclip/

And play your music wirelessly.

Well worth it, I play spotify through mine.

Why not just buy aux jack and plug it in?

You would still need the phone out to select songs etc.

Personally I don't want the faf of having to dig out the cable every time I want to use it. I'm not a fan of cables everywhere.

I much prefer pressing the aux button and pressing play on my phone.

Lot of other posts have suggested that aux cables had an issue of deteriorated sound quality. I'm using the Belkin aux cable and can confirm that that the sound quality is near to the CD. Just in case, if you want to use the aux cables as this isn't very clear in any posts that I have seen in the past

It's true, if you buy cheap you get nasty. A good quality cable should give a cleaner sound

I am using a belkin aux at the moment but ordered a Bluetooth reciever to see which I prefer using.

I'm the same, I have used the Blackberry one which was fine but moved to the HTC one as it's cleaner with no aux cable. I've had no problems with sound quality but I'm not a true audiophile :whistling:
