Tyre Pressures For 18" Wheel/tyre?

Recommended Posts

I have seen the standard tyre pressures for a 17" wheel/tyre set up is 33psi front and rear for normal driving. My car is lowered and on 18" wheel with 225/40/18 tyre size.Anyone running 18's and if so what are the recommended tyre pressures please?

Thanks.Lee.

Same pressures really mate .say 34 rear 32 fronts.

Get nitrogen in instead of air, much more stable and seals the tyres to the rims better , less air loss etc .

Nice bit of info there.

Thanks again.

36PSI all round for my 18's I found 33 -34 PSI a bit too sluggish to pick up acceleration due to rolling resistance and a bit too soft when cornering feels like the cars weight does not sit on the side wall at this PSI when am cornering in spirited driving. car feels nice and stable at 36PSI and braking distance and handling is also improved. then again the IS was designed to run on Bridgestone Potenza's and am running Falken's Azenis maybe the Falkens need a bit more PSI to come alive where as the Potenza's might not. heard positive things about Nitrogen as well so might try it..

Thanks for your reply.I will experiment and try the lower figures first and see how I get on from there.
