Stall Problem

I had to pretty much slam the anchors on earlier today as someone pulled out in front of me, I came to a complete stop, but when I went to pull away, nothing! It had stalled, the stop start button was red? Started up and was fine, very strange its an Auto too? Anyone heard of this or had this problem?

Some people have noticed that the IS sometimes 'shivers' after coming to a halt from high speed (I believe the engine management system is the suspected culprit, although it's not deemed a problem).

It could also be the torque converter momentarily transmitting the engine torque too efficiently (the fluid takes a finite time to adjust its flow within the converter). This could theoretically result in the engine stalling if the wheels have already come to a stop.

Just a couple of possible theories.
