Ls430 Mark Levinson Sub Woofer Repair

I have a 2002 LS430 and the rear parcel shelf Sub-Woofer speaker has blown and now rattles. They are very expensive to replace so I was wondering if anyone knows of a speaker re-winding service that can repair Mark Levinson Sub-Woofer Speakers. The cone is fine so I guess the coil is faulty.

You can test the coil by using an multimeter set on the resistance setting if on the sub it states 4 ohms then you want to see a reading of 4 on the meter if it's higher then the coil has started to breakdown, your sub may have a rating of 2 ohms so just read the specs of the sub.

The car audio centre have a good range of subs that you could fit in its place, I would keep the ml sub so when you sell your car you can put the original back in
