Water In Rhs Boot

Hi on lifting back carpet in boot I found a pool of water in the right side boot quater there is no water on the other side under the jack or under the spare wheel also the carpet is dry so the water must be getting in under the carpet I have poured water down the sunroof drains and it's draining ok I have removed the rubber gromit to let it drain out and made a hole in grom it before putting it back I also found in the quater a plastic flap on the floor I don't how it attaches to anything any advice please
