Reading this thread, has changed my mind a little, if I finance the balloon payment, Ill be paying more than I am now, so it makes sense for me to set a little bit aside and use it for a deposit on another car, maybe a 6-12 month old one again, the monthly payments now are about as much as I want to spend.

And of course the car is beginning to age, and although Lexus build quality is very good, the prospect of repair bills can loom on the horizon. Yes, extended warranties are available but they are written to make a profit for the issuer.
