Stuttering Betweem 14/1800 Revs?

Hi,

Over the last couple weeks, when i get to approx 1400 to 1800 revs, my 220D starts to shudder and lose a little power while making little jumps in power?

No idea hence my post.....has anyone come across this.............so far, has happened in gear 3,5 & 6.

Hello and welcome to the LOC.

I'm no diesel expert but the EGR valve block on the 220d is well known for clogging up and giving poor performance issues, a reasonable DIY job to remove and clean there is even a video tutorial on Youtube.

I take it there is no EML illuminated?

Hi,

No EML at all........the stutter just kind of pops out the blue when im gearing up.

Ill check out your suggestion, hopefully its quick and easy to follow.
