Just Bought An Is220D

Hi everyone,

Just saying hello, I put down a deposit yesterday on a black 2007 IS220d with black leather interior.

Very excited and looking forward to picking it up in a few days. I have had all kinds of cars in the past,

but have been driving a SMART 450 for the past few years, so the Lexus will be totally different.

The car is in excellent condition, but one thing I have noticed that needs replacing is the gear knob and gaitor, are these easy to replace? where should I look to get new ones?

Also, the cap on the right stereo knob has gone missing, can I get a new one somewhere (bit OCD)?

I'm sure I'll be back with lots of requests for help once I get her, until then, thanks for reading :)

Hello and welcome to the LOC.

If you want OEM parts it will be via Lexus only or have a look for one being broken for the required bits (always cheaper :) ) The petrol models should be the same with cosmetic parts.

Make sure you have full service documentation as there were major problems with the engines on the 220d models, many had them replaced under warranty.
