i didn't notice anything in the terms and conditions to prevent that when I took out my extended warranty. Maybe Lexus aren't too worried given he reliability of the car...

F.A yes I thought that too. I think the reality is they do a service and I guess if there are things they are concerned about they will insist the work is done before the warranty will be offered. I don't take out warranties usually so am pretty relaxed about whichever way it goes. Will be nice to have the piece of mind and will also help me sell it on if I decide to do that next year.
