Help Needed With Part Number On Headlight Ballast In Is220D

Recommended Posts

Hi has anyone replaced the ballast on a 2006 is220d?

I need to order them but need part number (dont want to order wrong ones)

The part number as far as i remember is: 8110753501

I haven't replaced the ballast, but I transferred the ballast from my old headlights to the new LED headlights. Some pictures can be found on my thread here: http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/topic/83871-project-car-wrap-2012-f-sport-bumper-led-headlamps-and-turn-signal-mirrors/

You will first have to remove the headlight itself from the car. Once that's done, you need to remove the Discharge bulb then the connector that connects to the discharge bulb needs to be disassembled and the two crimp pins loose. Once that is done, you can remove the ballast and fish out the wire easily. Some youtube videos instruct you to seperate the lens from the headlight. This is not needed at all.

Have a look at the following video which shows you how to disassemble the connector:

Hope that helps.
