  1. I'm a bit like Toad of Toad Hall in that I absolutely love cars (wife uses the word 'obsessed') so after about ten weeks of owning my most recent LS400,I thought it was time to move it on. Found a car on Autotrader that I quite liked the look of,so set off in the LS on a 30 mile trip to take a look this morning. I had done around four miles before I realised that I couldn't get rid of her,so we headed back home the long way round. The car I was going to look at was 11 years newer,an economical diesel and looked clean etc. But the LS is on LPG,so probably no gain on the economy side. The LS is extremely comfortable, quiet and raises her skirts nicely if asked and has a 'banging' sound system. I probably wouldn't get half of what she owes me either. If only I lived somewhere I could store cars. I found a lovely Saab 9000 on Autotrader yesterday for mere pennies. I would have loved to buy her,but the LS would have to go to make room. When I win that £17 million tonight,I will buy somewhere where I can keep all these beauties. Don't care how big the house is,that's the wife's department, but it would have a huge storage area for them all with a couple of four poster lifts and a fully kitted out workshop to keep them all in fine fettle. We can but dream.

  2. Have you had your battery disconnected? Mine always comes up when my battery has been disconnected. A low battery can also cause various lights to come on

  3. That's 70bhp on the standard ecu with only light modifications to the fuel system. Aiming for around 330bhp on this set up, later on I'll be adding another identical turbo and running a fully mappable management system so won't need a lot of extra stuff in the future. The Fiat will be built ready for manual, but I'll be using the auto till I can justify the cost of the supra TT box and kit to fit it. I've got another auto box that I'll be modifying for a faster change. I did some to the current box in the ls400, it worked wonders but was a bit of a cheat and the pressure was a little too high.

  5. Really ? If you have to resort to being offensIve to make your point there's little point in continuing the discussion. I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree.

  6. As a cyclist I think the width of a car in fog is relevant. I wear specs from Specsavers incidentally ;)

  11. Thanks Chris, as always your input is much appreciated but sadly too late in this instance - I've already picked up the stuff from my local Toyota dealer. However, we intend to keep the car until it dies and hope to get at least 100k out of it (on top of the 84k it's already done) so I suppose I could look at it as a 'belt and braces' job
