    Sorry guys - I've just not had time to take piccies (Been flying backwards and forwards down ther A1 !!!)

    I will do my upmost to get some pics on here this weekend (honest !! :unsure: )

    Jiberjaber - All I can say is GO FOR IT !! I was a bit skeptical at first since I have always sworn by SFX 1,2 and 3, Klasse AIO and SG then topped off with P21S (All lovingly zapped with my Porter Cable). I thought "What the hell - for 40$ (20 quid) I'll give it a go !!.... I don't think anybody will be disappointed.

    The other thing I've noticed (if you car is black) is that Klasse SG can, if you're not careful make the finish go a bit 'milky' under certain light - Ultima doesn't seem to suffer with the same drawback

    eurochem - I would imagine David has his formulas pretty well wrapped up with patents !! :winky:

    I would not have thought there would be any problems in the 2 metre range since amateur gear is usually pretty well designed to isolate any harmonics and nasties. again, if you're running any transceiver into a 7/8 I would have thought most of the RF would be propergated from the top 1/3rd or so of the ant and therefore well away from anything sensitive.

    I don't run an IS but would assume the GPS ant is either near the rear view mirror on around the rear parcel shelf

    Fidgets is right.... You're wasting your time....

    If petrol went up to over $8.50 a gallon in the US there would be stones and petrol bombs thrown in Washington !!

    Unfortunately (as always)... us Brits just complain and dig deeper in our pockets and of course this Government (and all others know this)

    OK - I have a GS from new from March last year. I've always been a bit of a car cleaning nut and over the years have pretty much tried everything out there.

    I've gone through the Auto Glym's and Turtle waxes of this world and dismissed them all.... I've been throughh Mothers and Maguires and again rejected them after a period of time always in seaerch of something better !!

    My current products of choice have been the Sonus range (SFX1,2 and 3), Klasse AIO and then the sealer and glaze (circa 4 layers) and then topped off with a top coat of p21S.... Oh - I forgot to mention that my GS is in Black, so absolutely the best colour when clean but also the worst colour for showing the slightest imperfection.

    Anyways, my regime has always been to use the Porter Cable on the car with an assortment of pads and then finishing off with the Klasse SG and p21S.

    I have toyed with the idea of going onto Long string polymers such as Zaino Bros but this has always been too time consuming (Porter Cable and layering SG is bad enough!!!).

    Anyway - the point of this post (bet you were wondering when I would get to that :shifty::shifty: ) is that I have just tried a new product from David over at Autopia and I think it just might be the Holy Grail of car detailing.

    It's Ultima (David has developed this himself). I went for the sample kit on the basis that if it wasn't any good I wouldn't have wasted a fortune and I wouldn't use it again. Anyway I took delivery of my kit the weekend before last and all I can say is OH MY ***... it's stunning.

    The radical thing about this product is THERE IS NO BUFFING OFF... You just wipe it on and leave it... That's it.

    I can do my entire car (and the GS isn't a small car) in 12 minutes !!!

    The end result is better than Klasse + P21S in my opinion and the time saved is unbelievable. I took a day preparing the car by completely stripping off all layers of SG with the Porter Cable and some SFX2, then I used the Ultima Prep fluid. All this takes a while to do properly but once it's done you can look forward to "waxing" your car in about 10 minutes thereafter. If anyone has seen the results obtained with Zaino Bros products - this equals them in my opinion.

    Sorry about the long post guys but I know some of you on here are detailing nut cases like me and thought I'd share.

    NO - I don't work for David... NO he isn't paying me !!... I've just found a product which in my honest humble opinion I think is exceptional.

    Would love to hear anyone elses experiences with Ultima if anyone on here has tried it.

    So - did a Google and got a quote from Admiral....

    ALL I CAN SAY IS WOW

    Just saved myself £275 for insuring both cars with them for the year...similar policy, legal cover, Incl. Business use and both of us will keep our NCB protected...

    Admiral are great - UNTIL it's time to make a claim. They will then try every trick in the book to wriggle out of actually paying !!

    Just be careful is all I will say - (I'm not going into detail on here but I had to threaten to take them to court before they eventually backed down and coughed up)

    If the dealer tells you it's impossible to match that's total bollox !!!

    They are allowed to give 10% without even referring it to anyone/body... They can do it if they want to !!

    I'm not saying what discount I got on my new GS but it was better than 10% !!!!! ;) ;)

    Press them hard or walk away and go to another dealer !!!

    Drive the Deal is ok but dealers can do better !!!!

    I've always shocked car salesmen when I've gone for a new car and they've gone into their 'sharp intake of breath mode' and come back with all sorts of cr*p about how my trade in vehicle isn't the right colour etc, etc, blah, blah blah.... I've then said to them "Don't care... tell you what... give me £1 for my trade in"

    This usually meets with a confused look and a raised eyebrow. I then explain I couldn't care less about the book price and all I'm interested in is the botom line....... We then start to talk...

    Has always worked for me in the past but make sure your do you homework first on prices !!! :winky: :winky:

    Speed Limit On Dual Carraigeways

    OK.... I got caught (with three points added to my Licence on the A52 between Grantham and Notts !!

    The speed limit is 60mph in the single carrageway section and I got done for doing 82mph in a ........ wait for it........ Daewoo Matiz (which I thought was impossible according to the laws of Physics !! :D :D :D)

    The SPECS start on the dual carrageway at Gamston (where the dual carrageway is and where the speed limit IS 70mph) and continue all the way on the A52 onto the single lane section (where the limit is 60mph).

    You can go through the first camera doing 150mph if you want and you won't get caught... it's when you pass the SECOND camera that the laws of maths and average speed/distance take over :duh: :duh:
