i have suddenly got a creaking noise when i turn the steering wheel(gs300 1993) one mechanic told me its the lower ball joint. i did some internet searches and i found that their was a person who had a similar problem http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index...showtopic=31153 i hope this helps and i will let you guys know how i get on aswell

i have heard of people using diesel (after draining the oil out of the car flush alittle diesel down it, its supposed to clean the shims and any other gunk) ive never tried this on a petrol but i have seen it done on diesel cars / vans

I have recently renewed fluid (about 4 months ago, from lexus i think it was type iv cant remember ) and it has run fine but recently its got a mind of its own. I personally believe it might be the throttle position sensor (i could be wrong)but i dont have specs to move it into position.

Yes but only for a limited period of time, need to get the codes read before they are lost, unless the em light comes back on that is. hello, my car has started to over rev sometimes and i can hear a slight rumble before the engine light comes on. the transmission dosnt change if i floor it but if i ease off it changes smoothly. my flex pipe had a hole in it before and i assumed that air was getting to the sensors when the engine light used to come on but ive fixed this problem so i dont understand why the only other assumption could be the transmission. i have used toyota oil from lexus in the tranmisson. again after i turn the car off the light turns off and the car is back to normal, do automatics have clutch plates maybe i need to replace it. could anyone please advise me or any suggestions Thanks

:) thanks alot hi a quick question, im thinking of installing a turbo bolt on kit on my 2jzge which consists of a turbo manifold, t4 turbo, and all pipes. i will have to remap/adjust ECU to accept boost drill holes in sump to link oil to turbo/ take oil sump off 2jzgte get a oil cooler get intercooler install better brakes but what i really need to know if the 4 speed auto transmission will work and upto what stage of BHP could it handle. im thinking of installing the intercooler, oil cooler and transmission later on and to run the car on low boost until i can get more funding. oh yeah will the boost work without changing the head gasket to compensate the compression ratio gs300 is at 10:1 and aristo is at 8.5:1 im new to turbos so i just need advice(using alittle logic ive made the above list) and if there is a good turbo conversion mechanic in the manchester region that would just charge labour.

hello, somtimes my car hesitates aswell (100k on clock, mk1) i changed the trans oil from toyota dealers. i thought this may remedy the problem, no luck somtimes the car shoots and somtimes the car revs up and before it changes gear it sort of over revs but no power is felt it then changes gear oh yeah i installed a K&N panel filter and now i have got a hole in the flex pipe(got a gurgling sound) could this be a cause to the tranmission probs and have any of you got/know where i can get a flex pipe(tried scrap yards but had no luck) i am told the flex pipe is stainless steel but i was wondering if the exhuast flow could crack the flex pipe thanks for help

hi, i was asked a question by a mate of mine and he wanted to know if it were possible to fit the 2jzge engine with a LPG conversion kit as well as a nitro kit, i didnt think this was possible as you would need one injector for the nitro and another for the LPG. i could be wrong thanks

seeking? do you mean hunting as in the revs go up and down slightly? i had a similar problem changed the leads and all is now well yes i meant hunting you know of any good makes on leads. im going to change dist cap, might aswell change leads. oh yeah i forgot to mention mine is a L Reg gs300. any suggestions to help rid me of the diesel sound from the engine (something might be worn out but thats my guess)

hello, ive got the same problem, the engine starts and sounds like a deisel and then it would go quiet after about 5 mins. The problem ive got now is that it sounds like a deisel all day, ive changed oil (shell helix plus), oil filter, even changed the timing belt, transmission oil and ive also added lucas oil to the engine oil. there has been no change 100 000 mileage done on engine. (but after oil change the engine did quite down for a week and now has returned to the diesel sound.) another problem that just started was the engine somtimes is seeking ive been told i need another distributor cap (i have iridium spark plugs) and when im driving, after i take the foot off the pedal the rev counter falls below the 750 idle point and then rises back up to the 750 idle. thanks for all the help

hi everyone, i am wondering my exhaust cat and the flexi pipe have gone(front end, under engine, im not that good with cars so apologies) so im thinking of replacing the whole system. The flexi pipe is ripped and mechanic suggested a change of the cat thats connected to the flexi(i dont even know if i am spelling the pipe name correctly ) ive been to a couple of scrap yards and been qouted for a whole system(as they wont sell just flexi pipe / cat) but couple of my friends are saying i should opt for a new one. so heres the questions Have any of you guys got an gs300 94 model exhaust system for sale / cat with the flexi pipe? If i where to buy a whole system which one should it be ( i dont want it to roar and want ot keep to a budget of £1000) ive seen posts on HKS being good i think as the back part of the exhaust ( i need the front, middle and back of an exhaust) and thanks for all the help given :D

hi i just wanted to inquire, as i have the gs300 i wanted to install the new wing mirror indicators but i was told that i would loose the mirror heating facility, getting to the point does any one know of a mirror type with the heating mechanism that will work with the 94 gs300 and has side repeaters. A recommendation to where i could purchase these from would be a bonus. :D thanks Djinn

hi quick question, the distribution cap on my gs300 L reg clicks and then misfires does this mean i get a new one any ideas please thanks
