Ive bought it at 65k but because of the way that the services have been done in the book it is right now that the 60k service needs doing. what ive found is that the service has creeped a bit over the years. so the last service was at 55k. I thought i got a bargain really since the car is in good condition with sat nav for good price. tbh there isnt many IS200 Sport Navigators in Aztec Red with 65k on clock at £7k. Can anyone pin point me to a tutorial or help on how to take the sat nav apart and fix this ribbon cable and where to get the part from and how much? Is it a simple job or does it require some soldering? Its funny really because the button didnt work last night and now it does but the screen was turning pink on the way to work this morning which was really annoying. i too have a 99 sport with sat nav, my screen is always doing the same but if i wiggle it about every now and again it tends to be fine (i know i probs shouldnt) for a few weeks. It onlyt really turns blue again when i was the screen whichcauses me to move it again. id be interested in the prolex service but mine is coming up to the 100k mark and dont wanna spend a fortune (im 20 and at unii). cant afford to keep up with the money bag memebers on lexus owners club :P

has anyone actually signed up for that?

sounds daft but have you made sure the window lock button is off? i often press mine by accident

Helloo all, Im thinking of buying one of those electric buffers to polish up my IS, ive used to seasch button but those threads are now ancient. Could anyone reccomend a good one to get? any tips about buffing ive never done it before with an elecric one, just good old man power lol cheers

yeh definatly, mines got a few stone chips at the front on the bonnet, nothing too excesive but i guess you would expect that with its age

i got mine from a small independant garage about 4 months ago, mine is a plat ice IS200 sport with sat nav 93k on the clock. It had full lexus service history, jus had its 90k service done, new cambelt, tyres and brakes, had reciepts for everything thats ever been done to it. I paid £6350 for that so yours seems a lil pricey to me. but then again the prices change so i dunno mate

i was suposed to have it fitted last week, but eventhough i had my car booked in (at halfords free fitting at the mo), they have non in stock and wont for another week. Im now having second thoughts as im not sure it will work, i have sat nav in my car and im unsure wether it will work or not, should have found out first, lol.

sorry to hear that mate, my car car is coming up to the 100k mark, fortunatly ive had the cam belt done however i have a couple of concerns... 1) what are the signs of a leaking water pump? (ie where do i look?) 2) my clutch makes a squeeking noise, is it the clutch cable thats rubbing agaist something or is the clutch on the way out?

i have a 99sport with sat nav, am i right in saying that if i wanted to fit an aftermarket headunit in my car i would need your connector to allow me to use my sat nav? reason why i ask is due to mine being a 99 IS i am waiting in preparation for the ERR3 message as so far (touch wood) i have had no problems.

ahh i see, gonna have a bash at this this weekend, i have 3 keys, 2 with boot release (one wokrs, one doesnt since batterys were chaged), one with no boot release which works.

whats the difference between the master key and the valet key?

get the sport! but of course im biased Mines a 99 T plate and has got the full maloney, lol Half leather seats, sat nav, rear boot spoiler etc. You may aswel just get the one with the most things on if you can afford it, and go for the one that makes you think WOW. good luck in you search

mine must be the calliper painting, plucked up the courage to do it a couple of weeks ago and im so pleased with the outcome. also the general info i was given when i was looking to buy my lex, i could only afford a high milage one (im poor and at uni, haha), so things like cambelt etc i had no idea about. becasue of this knowledge i managed to get cam belt, tensioners etc changed before i bought the car saving me, what could have been a small fortune in the ling run had i not know this.

think mine is the seal too. are they easy to fit?

thanks for the reply, yeh there in good nick and no i dont use them unless its necessary (Sp). i told my mate off for having them on all the time! i often (3-4) times a week use the country roads round hathersage a night. With it being so high up it becomes really foggy at this time of year and visability is terrible.

Im in Sheffield not too far away, im unsure on garages bud, i myself looked for about 3 months before finding one that gave me the feeling that that was the one for me. I had to travel to Lincoln to get mine :duh: i found for some reason that prices outside of yorkshire and manchester tended to cheaper with lower mileage PS Fuel economy and Lexus do not mix lol

morning all! here i go... well my front drivers side fog light is not working, its full of condensation. after reading a few topics on here, im guessing either the bulb has gone or the inside is corroded due to the water. I can get my hand on a front fog light for £45 but its off and 03 IS200se mine in a 99IS200 sport so my questions are......... 1) Will it fit my car 2) Is that a good price cheers all
