  1. In my household the 3 cars we have are all on personal plates and  2 on retention…. And every car ive had going back possible 30yrs has had a personal plate on it…. Are’s range from hundreds of £ up to thousands, its personal preference wether anyone gets one or not,

bit like modding a car, some ppl like too others prefer standard…strange old world if we all liked the same things

I just checked out the video and recognised a couple of the cars there. Sorry I couldn't make it I was travelling home from SW France that day. To be honest, it would have been a difficult journey as my car only travels south. Hi to all ex members of the Lexus-world forum, I really miss the humour.

Cor blimey long time no hear from 😂 yeah LW no longer and the gang have split from the host due to his underhanded actions and severe wrong doings (way to much dirt to post up on here)thes a group of us who still keep in touch daily via a group messenger chat ie me, bob, chris steve shanti Neil and paul oh and nick nac….

And I joined n `13 with my GS450h which has only accumulated 65,000 trouble free miles.

And if I remember correctly,Graham was recovering from a serious illness and wondering whether to sell his (then) LS. And Tony Richa was telling everyone how he had accumulated over 200,000 trouble free miles in his GS 450h.

Interestingly my old Merc Estate is now 19 years old and has accumulated 256,000miles and is shortly to add a further 4000 miles.

God youve a good memory, 😂 yes i had not long bought my LS600hL when i got ill, and was in that delemer  of selling it or storing it, ..with many suggestions i lend it to members so they could keep the fluids fresh and wheels turning 😆 oh and increase the mileage whilst i recover..decided to store it for the duration, 2005 i believe i originally joined here with a LS400, although my first ever ownership of a  lexus was 2002 and have had a lexus or 2 always in my ownership and on drive ever since then….

    Looks very nice Ant.😎

I got off to a bad start yesterday with the appearance of an engine management light and then after making a poor job of leather cleaning, started cleaning the bodywork in the evening to discover a nice crack in the front bumper. It probably took a little nudge in a car park somewhere in the last few days and I hadn't noticed. I was planning to take time out today to make it look as pretty as possible but I've lost the will now.

So do I patch it up this evening and 'limp' to Coventry to make up the numbers or stand in for Graham this year and park the GS460 waving a Scottish flag in the church car park? 🤣

Limp over there in the SC… no one stands in for me😂… i hold that “banished to the Car park status” although this time  its being organised by someone whos not up his own arse (chris) and im welcomed to join in by Juan, unfortunately ive other engagements which i already knew about prior to the meet being organised so couldn’t and didnt say i could attend,…. Really hope its a decent turn out regardless the deviant predator is saying hes turning up aka rich walker shyster 👎🏻

  5. Yep the full package for 2.5k which was very reasonable considering the work involved, i didnt realise how much plastic trim needed doing until i saw it all dismantled and the parts hanging up on the line and on the shelves….

when i saw the finished bits in black i honestly thought they had went out and purchased new bits as the finish was perfect

On Wednesday I went into an auto leather specialist which has just opened near Holmfirth to ask his advice about sorting my beige leather out.

He said to dye leather seats is only a temporary fix and therefore he would want to replace the leather.

I gulped and propped myself up against my car as I  asked him how much to re-leather both front seats.

He said £1500 which I kind of expected but as I have seen many SC's with much worse seats than mine. It seems a bit extravagant with all the other interesting mods that are probably more pressing!

I was £2500 to change my leather ohh and the colour of the rest of interior from girlie feminine beige to manly butch black n red lol

This is a discussion for another place. To avoid it descending into something else, I would say it's best to keep the thread on track.

I agree ..not for on here but im happy to take PMs questions…. Bit like prime minister question time on telly lol 😂

Thanks Neil. May I know more--a PM perhaps ?

I used to point new SC Members in LW direction and was a Member myself.

No need to PM…. Hes a shyster and has ripped ppl off, not the first or last time hes done this,…. The are other things about this person to be wary off but not for posting up on this forum… (authorities have been contacted) personally id recommended any one to stay well clear, doing dodgy work to selling cat C SCs with no mention (ok prospective owners should do there own checks but as this is his main objective to obtain SCs cheap and sell on with a inflated price you’d think he’d be more honest)…. Getting parts of members to get a car sorted to sell then not paying for the parts he got the list goes on and on…. The was 6 admins to his LW fb page and  5 left instantaneously that should tell you about him….

ps sorry to be blunt and up front about him, but hate to see ppl get shafted over by him or anybody else,

Graham you old dog...so good to hear from you mate!

It will be good to see you if you make it and hopefully others will respond over the weekend!

I am glad I didn't get embroiled in all that stuff but it would be good to see many of the guys at the meet or on here!

    Ant

Would be a 950mls round trip for me unfortunately and at current fuel prices would be the same cost as buying a LC500 😂

Poor Graham, he wasn't allowed to even buy a raffle ticket!

I wonder how he is doing now he has moved back to the wilds of Scotland. I have not spoken to him since the Lexusworld app crashed and became Facebook.

The main hardcore original members of “that site” that migrate to the fb page aswell have all left due to the underhanded actions and deceitfulness and other major things that cannot be mentioned at moment by the so called lexusman….. that is why you wont see us on there anymore, very dodgy person…

Damn you’re fast!  I’ve read from a couple of sources that the Eibach and H&R spacers are made at the same place, guess that’s why people like to use them.

Ahh but did you notice i used the mat to cushion the alloy when i took it off 😂… i resprayed my ones black, there currently sat on a shelf in my lockup as the all black alloys (my favourite) are spot on and dont need the spacers although might try them and see how car looks with them sticking out more (would only be fitted for a show not daily) its my black and bronze ones that needed the spacers

ps the OEM alloys look good painted black if your thinking that way, I’ll be doing that with my OEM ones as hate the diamond cut finish on them with a passion…i use the OEM alloys for winter driving

    Hi everyone,

I’ve already introduced myself on the new owners page but was advised to come and say Hi on here and introduce myself.
I’ve been in the British Army for 25 years and have just left. I’d always promised myself a nice car to keep as a present to myself for 25 years service.
It had to be a V8 as they won’t be around forever!!!!!
I looked at the normal suspects (M3, RS5, C63 etc) and purely came across the RCF by accident about 3 years at my local Lexus Dealer in Hedge End.
I genuinely was stopped in my tracks at the design of it. I thought it was absolutely stunning from every angle.
Then, when I found out it had an n/a V8 I was hooked on it.
    So, to today.
I found this one last week at the same dealer when I went with my mate for him to have a look at a car for himself. (I always get asked to go car shopping with friends as I am a proper petrolhead and car geek)

I couldn’t get over how clean and tidy this car was and how well it had been looked after. It was plain to see it had been someone’s pride and joy and been garaged it’s whole life.
7 years old and only 19000 miles on it led me to believe it had been a weekend car. And the service history spelt that out too.
I booked a test drive for 4 days later after putting a holding deposit on it.
I was told I wouldn’t be disappointed by the sales team. They weren’t wrong. I did the deal on the same day after returning from test drive.
I’m really happy. And it will continue to be a fine weather weekend car and to take to shows. 076C234C-ACA2-4A6B-B6BA-3BC30DBB4375.thumb.jpeg.a8055175200a9bd5b1ef38b27aecf060.jpeg665D0E83-18B5-4FC7-970F-158DD7DDC211.thumb.jpeg.207778bb545dbbc91de06f979e9d33c1.jpeg

Congrats on your awesome purchase … you’ll love it, had mine over 3yrs and still look back at it and smile everytime i park it up👍🏻 im Ex Royal Electrical Mechanical Engineers   (probably came out before you joined tho 😆  82-95 )

Please let me know if you ever wanna sell the OEM look Seibon 👍🏼

Haven’t got a OEM look seibon…. Ive 2 seibon CF with extra vents down side (1 on car and 1 spare and the OEM steel bonnet), and not thinking of selling either at moment, if i ever decide to sell the F all my extras will go with car as a sweetener ie 2 spare sets of alloys 2 extra bonnets 1 extra rear spoiler wing plus exhaust and other parts,…. Cant be doing with the hassle of selling bits n pieces…. Plus im a magpie of car parts 😂
