So the wife's car this morning, randomly gave all these error messages out of the blue.

    Recently serviced motd via dealer.

Then in the drive through this morning every light on the dash lit up

    Braking power low

    Abs system malfunction

    Brake override malfunction

    Pre crash safety malfunction

    Anybody any ideas 😇😂

… ‘twas but a low voltage failing 12v Battery

Looks great! Did you tint all the badges yourself or buy them somewhere?

All my own work…. Bought couple of spare OEM ones just incase i cocked up 😂 but nah came out alright

I used lense tint spray on RC and F badge but tint wrapped the front and rear L badges and darker tint wrapped clear lense bits on rear lights

  3. I de chromed every bit on my car… front badge i tinted and rear one i replaced with domed incase one and tinted and shadow tinted rear RC and F badge

    Grille and window dechrome done

Never been a fan of chrome on cars so I was glad to get this done, the chrome always stuck out like a sore thumb to me

May need to look into dechromed badges now...

, also tinted rear clear lights and upgraded rev bulb so they still shine threw bright, fog lights still show up properly as well, also painted the lower bit of trim of front grill (black in my case to match car)….. and replaced my aftermarket carbon bonnet…with another identical carbon fibre aftermarket bonnet which i had painted in OEM spec starlight black to match car… ohh and got rid of diamond cut alloys years ago with errrr black alloys (ive a thing about black 😂)

  4. I need 15mm n 20mm spacers  for my matt bronze/black alloys so they look right in wheel wells , but my all black alloys are perfect without.. still got my OEM wheels as well which would need the spacers for that more beefier look if i ever fitted them again, (doubtful as dont like the OEM ones with diamond cut facing unless i get them resprayed black lol)

  5. I booked a late date ie 6th June so they had time to practise on other cars 😆 prior to mine going in plus gives them time to get the parts,,,,

although crapping myself as the new LEXUS service place up my way in Aberdeen is a flipping Honda dealership….

Lexus Aberdeen used to be a lexus dealership but shut down ohhh many years ago, think about 18-19yrs ago…. Arnold Clark Toyota then became the service dept for Lexus aberdeen but has now changed to a HONDA dealerships service dept….its either a hours drive down n over to Aberdeen or a 3 1/2hr drive to either Lexus Edinburgh or Glasgow….

  6. Nigel… 1st congrats on car and by all means brag about it 👍🏻

BUT please dont big up Rich walker aka lexusman

lexusman is not a lexus specialist….. hes just a dodgy 2nd hand homemade car dealer… he has no mechanical or any other qualifications to call himself a specialist,

he is banned from this forum and other many lexus Forums and groups for his dishonesty and has ripped many ppl off in his time…. And complaints on his dodgy unsafe sales and work

His so called warranty’s he says he gives you is just word of mouth… thes no legalality in it

Thes a queue of ppl me needing a quiet little word with this said individual

After the gathering last year which had a decent turnout any thoughts for this year? I was thinking if maybe more central UK like OXFORD way for a venue would suit those located a bit further up the country

Plenty room at my place for at least 50 cars.. but unfortunately im way up North 38mls from INVERNESS 😂….but it would be a good drive up with stunning scenery then a drive around the NC500 👍🏻

    central enough for ya 😆

  8. Little story to my fitment…

i drove down to TUX autos LK performance the day before, as i live up the north east of Scotland and decided to park outside their gates till they opened, arrived at 2200hrs (i was very excited and keen lol)… lets just say the RCF is not a comfy car to try and sleep in overnight 😆 where as my previous lexus was (i had the LS600hL with relaxation pack )…. I was first one in after a employee opened gates…

Stayed in waiting area whilst they fitted system and was well looked after with coffee biscuits and even a burger 🍔…. Was given a tour around TUX autos garage with all exotic performance cars, was well impressed 👍🏻…

ive bought both sets of 20’’ alloys i have for my F and my Armytrix system of them… 100% recommend them

That does sound good. It would seem that the Armytrix system is the ultimate solution. With the valves closed how close to the stock system does it sound?

It is louder than stock with valves closed, slightly,

certainly lets the V8 breath and growls better, and certainly noticeable in a good way with valves open as and when you want 🙉😂👍🏻,

I wouldn’t ever go back to stock, and when or if i upgrade my car next one is getting the same system,

I only had the stock system on the RCF for 3mths after i bought it ,before i put the Armytrix system on so cant remember exactly the difference,

System still looks pretty new after 4yrs off being fitted and over 50k of mileage use, although i do polish it up frequently, lots of crawling about under car 😆

defo keep your OEM system tho

i have kept all the OEM parts that ive changed on my F, hence i have a garage full of parts from exhaust bonnets active spoiler cold air intake alloys etc as i know that regardless ive spent in excess of a extra 15k on this car i cant add that on if i sold it, (id sell aftermarket parts separately if need be)… only ONCE I’ve contemplated on selling then looked out my window and saw it sat there gleaming and looking menacing so  that stupid idea was only in my head for a split second 😂

  10. Ive the Armytrix Valvetronic system fitted on mine for just under 4yrs and still love it to this day…. Just a smidge under £5k 😬 but to this day i say its worth every penny and i still grin and giggle like a girl 😂 when opened up (the valves i mean 😉)

i bought mine from Armytrix uk and fitted and supplied by TUX auto which is part of  LK performance down in Cleckheaton

brill bit of kit and valves can be operated either by key fob or by Bluetooth app on phone… the app also gives you live running results on many different parts to your engine as is linked up to a Bluetooth control plugged into OBDi port plus any trouble codes if any arise….

if you go down this way ie Armytrix i strongly suggest you get a proper  company to fit as it needs programmed and married into cars system

  11. £493 in total to get our 2 Lexus’s insured fully comp on separate policy’s with both of us named on each others policy as 2nd driver 👍🏻

Both our renewals where extortionate rises so we shopped around and have both left last years company’s ( AA and onecall) and are now with tescobank …their prices where even less than last years insurance company’s we where with , saved around 350 changing insurance between the two of us

  12. Just got a email with my renewal quote… 😂😂 thought it was a joke as it had gone up £120,

nowt changed from last year except another years no claims and had a speeding conviction taking off as over 5yrs now since offence….

i understand ALL things go up in price but with extra year  NCB and fully clean license I wasn’t expecting a hype up  of 120

so declined the auto renewal and went elsewhere

so now insured fully comp with missus as named driver for £270 (actually took initial quote for just me DOWN £50 by adding her)

and no she wont be driving it, shes too scared lol not of car but my reaction if she dunted it or kerbed it

I'm not sure but all I'm going to do is advise of this. You may come across someone at the sc430 meeting or on lexus clubs or Ebay etc by the name of Rich Walker. He deals in sc430's, never buy one of him. He is a trader and a dodgy one at that.

I’ll second your opinion on rich walker….extremely dodgy bloke as a person and as a so called dealer….. defo stay well clear of that individual

Nice to have good news at annual inspection time.

Great cars when they come to MOTs...like anything do need to be maintained though.

Out of curiosity, what's the yellow ramps in the picture used for.

I bought a load of speed humps for my private road and over ordered so i use some of the spare sections to drive car onto so i can wash and dress tyres if need be without dragging my sponge over gravel, plus raises car up a bit more so i can use my under car chassis wash system….
