Just re read the post...the fusebox (in the RC)is in the passenger fóotwell,LHS when facing forward ..you 'll need to remove the glovebox and other bits of trim see video.
No you dont…. Bit of trim but NO REMOVING of the glovebox 🙈
@RadicalCoupe-Fuji ive hard wired my next base dash cam in on my RC F into the front passenger side footwell fuse box , I’ll get a pic of where to plug it all into tomorrow for you,

Mines booked in at Lexus Aberdeen 1st week in June…. Spoke with them today (lexus servicing Aberdeen are actually a Honda dealership) 🙈…. They’ve not done any lexus fuel vent tube recalls yet but are starting to do them later this month….told them I’ll wait till theyve done a few before handing my car to them 😂 hence the June appointment

Got the car back, no smell of petrol in the car as someone here reported.
They said it took him all day as I asked them to balance my alloys too but they ran out of time.
So perhaps he was new. In that vehicle safety check video they do, he says "slight lip on your discs, but in good working condition"..... I have to laugh as I fitted those brand new on Sunday so they are 4 days old LOL.
Id be having a word with dealership if they said that to me after only 4 days….either that the supplier of the butter soft discs getting a lip after 4 days 🙈… hate it when garages make stuff up just to try and show that theyve done a safety check,…. I had something similar on a MOT with tyres, got a advisory for tread depth on inner of rear os tyre… they where less than 24hrs old and only 5miles of usage
they make stuff up so anyone looking over there performance sees that they are checking and mentioning things, obviously in my case and yours its total BULL
i got DVLA involved and got 2 other garages to confirm tyres where mint…. Reissued with new MOT, and garage was suspended from holding MOT status for i believe a couple of years

Sounds good. I might give it a go.
I am trying to find someone to fabricate me an adapter so I can hook up my OEM back boxes onto the Invidia mid pipe.
This way I can go back to stock volume and enjoy Bedford again 🙂
You should have got a switchable valvetronic system where you can open n close them for …welcome to hell or driving miss daisy …. 😆

@mr2lad may be able to advise? Unsure if he found an OEM one or went aftermarket, knowing him - aftermarket 😛
Both my Carbon fibre bonnets are aftermarket Seibons… @ben_harmer32 i cant see why a standard bonnet wouldn’t fit a carbon version same shape same catches,
ive my OEM metal bonnet and 2 aftermarket carbon bonnets of which ive had one resprayed into OEM starlight black due to some clear coat damage

@BillNick Are you on the Lexus F owners Europe FB group…. Lots of owners in Germany on it, might be worth posting on there

I used to do Elgin, Moray or Aberdeen down to Surrey every 2 weeks 614mls one way with one stop at Carlisle for fuel pee n coffee , Aberdeen to Surrey 7hrs 30 🙈 elgin to Surrey 8hrs 30 best mpg i got was 36.9 and that wasn’t me hanging around (ive always drove it like ive stole it) i have never driven more than a couple of miles in ECO as it just doesnt feel right so so laggy… im sports mode or sports plus with valves opened on exhaust and throttle controller on highest setting when motorways where clear…did a lot of this driving during lockdowns so roads pretty clear

Mark roof locking latch brackets ..so they refit in exactly the same spot👍🏻
Note ..carpets are plastic backed so water will pool in them but not reach the cars floor….well unless it’s coming in by the bucket load !
@Graham Wilkinson as bob said the carpets are rubber backed and molded in pods… this is what they look like out of car… i took mine out to dye them black, (which took a few days and coats of dye 🙈) not a job id ever do again 😂

I had water ingress into boot which use to fill up the OSR storage hole, intially i thought it was coming in via osr taillight as thats where it was collecting in the storage hole below the light….eventually cured the problem by cleaning off old sealant and putting a line of new sealant just below rear window (marked up red in pic) worked a treat and never had a problem afterwards… not saying this is your problem but worth a look

PS - everyone knows black GSFs are the fastest!
😂 yeah same goes for black RCFs 👍🏻 i intially was going to change out my yellow stuff due to dust, but once they are bedded in and a bit of use they aren’t too bad, your first few days youll be cursing the amount of dust they produce but it calms down a bit afterwards, shows up a bit more on my alloys as they’re all black

Having done it in my earlier year cars (gutless teenage hatchbacks), I would be salivating at opening up the F on a lap with no traffic!
During lockdown, i basically had the M25 to myself in the F for my fortnightly travel up to 🏴 aberdeen and Elgin….kinda peeved when lockdown finished 😂…if the is a lexus meet/tour I’ll join in if it gets up my way,….. if it gets up to Scotland i highly recommend Glen Coe route… did that a month or so back… gorgeous scenery and done parts of the NC500 in the F numerous times…(helps that i live up that way 😂)

I think is an act of god & not insured. Could have been worse, Id thought of spending more & waiting for a carbon edition to show up in the right colour, Im not sure if carbon roof would take a hit better than the metal roof but if it cracked or something it would probably cost a lot more to fix.
The one thing I dont get about Lexus is how cheap they are with the headunit screens, the UX is by far the worst, they clearly could have put a much bigger screen in, but they make you pay extra for an upgrade option, its like a punishment for not buying a higher grade. You dont see this in Toyotas.
The infotainment/sat nav systems on the lexus models are the Achilles heals … for the past 21yrs ive had a lexus and every single one the systems has been poor, against other manufacturers systems…. Ive had LS 400s 430 and the 600hL is200 is300h GS450 SC430 RX450 and RCF and my old Toyota soarer 4.0 GTL which was a 93 reg had a better system in it than 80% of the above cars ive had….. they need to catch up with the competition

Well its that time of year…and im happy to announce it passed 100% as per the other years.

considering previous years i was doing 13 to 14k between mots
note to self ….get out and enjoy putting more miles on it ffs 😆
currently sat on 87280 and plan on hitting 100k hopefully this year
nearly 4yrs of ownership and i still love this car and chuffed that ive clocked up so many miles on it…smiles per mile and im positively grinning
