I’m paying around £440, 37yrs old with similar no claims and 10,000 miles a year.
Postcode makes a big difference and I’m TD.
I concur on the postcode makes a difference…. Im £270 fully comp on RCF in a IV30 postcode area (N.E Scotland)

Just to confirm the details of this gathering, here is the e-mail from the Museum.
Looking forward to meeting forum members and of course those invited through social media. Just to confirm it's £10 per person if you want to visit the Museum and get access to the room they have provided.
Please note the error in the e-mail it's Sunday 25th at around 11 o'clock for us. There is a big Ford meeting that I wasn't aware of so we will see if it is a pain for us this time. If it is, the next gathering we organise a meeting at this venue I'll be sure to check if any other marques have the date we would like. But I suspect as we won't be a big crowd we'll probably have little say in the matter.
Dear DavidThank you for your booking and I have placed your meeting in the Boardroom. On Sunday 26 June we have the Ford National Show taking place so it will be very busy onsite so you may have to queue to get onsite, if you can ask your delegates to park to the rear of the venue on the Western Arena marked 6 on the site map attached. You will be able to receive 20% off any refreshments in the cafe using your 20% discount car club stickers which will be given to you on arrival which will also give everyone complimentary access into the Museum. Alternatively I can arrange to have catering/refreshmetns served to the room although this will be more expensive and you will not receive the discount - please let me know.Have a good eveningLooking like its going to be a decent turn out 👍🏻 as the capt of the boat in JAWS said….. you may need a bigger CAR park lol 😆

Living in Scotland they are lorries I see on the road regularly, very recognisable. I used to work at a salmon processing site down here in the borders so recognise them well. How many are in the fleet? I currently work at a maltings and we have approximately 40 currently, makes you proud to see the brand in the road!
Farne salmon n trout In Duns by any chance 🤷♂️ used to deliver there 3 times a week along with dropping off in Eyemouth and Berwick daily, only about 22 units in fleet

Being a professional driver, how does it affect the ownership experience of a car like the RCF? Do you ever find yourself sick of driving? I must admit, It’s one of those jobs I’ve always been intrigued by but never been able to try!
I actually retired at the age of 54 2yrs ago, but i love driving so do 1 day (maximum) a week driving for my old company.. just up to ULLAPOOL OR SCRABSTER or malliag, and will find and use any excuse to get out in the RCF 😂

DON'T EVER USE TESCO AGAIN FOR ANYTHING will be my ongoing motto🤣
Malc
😮 i saved hundreds going to Tescos car insurance that much that im less than £300 fully comp on my RCF …
youve had a bad experience with that branch of Tescos and wholeheartedly agree with you boycotting that particular branch, your expierence isn’t store wide as i have mentioned earlier petrol prices at my Tescos are low ie 138.9 E10 unleaded and the E5 super unleaded 145.6
but do understand your rant 😉

I stopped using 'branded' fuel over 15 years ago. I was staunch advocate of the stuff but one day I had no choice but to fill up on asda fuel. From then on I thought rubber duck those rip off merchants and have stuck with asda fuel or tesco since. Oh. My cars have been the top of the range sport derivative and turbo'd petrol cars and guess what. There's no f ing difference.
If you want to waste your hard earned on branded then that's your choice. Me? I'm no fool.
110% correct… ex fuel tanker driver and i delivered to branded and supermarkets…loaded up from same fuel silos…..
ive ran all my cars on supermarket fuel for 🤷♂️ god knows how many years now…. And NEVER had any fueling issues
138.9 for unleaded at Tescos
145.6 for super unleaded Tescos
guess which one i fuel up with 😉
neither 😂 as i use Asdas lol at 138.7

Hi Malc
My advice to you having had 2 sc430's is that they are not that reliable as people make out.
Yes they are more reliable than a bmtroubleyou, Audi and merc etc, but not the most reliable lexus. I've had 2, besides the engine, and a few misfires, it's not that reliable. But each to their own.
Oh word of advice, never buy one from that dodgy dealer Rich Walker who calls himself lexusman in Gloucester, I'm sure there are others who have dealings with him and will tell you a few stories about him, hence why his website Lexusworld has been taken down
I whole heartily concur with your advice to stay AWAY from tricky dicky Rich Walker aka self proclaimed lexusman aka to everyone else as a dodgy con 2nd hand car dodgy dealer ( I have other ways to describe him but wont on the forum 😂)

2nd question, I think not. Would you like me to handle that? @mr2lad can you assist us sharing on FB please?
3 hours ago, B1RMA said:Please do, it's getting near the date so I guess we need to firm up who's coming.
I did but it was unclear wether or not other models where allowed… give me a detailed post (instead of me trawling back on here and getting snippets which i can copy and transfer onto the LexusOwners uk facebook page)

Cant remember… this was about 6/7yrs ago and car already booked into a lexus dealership for a warranty issue i had so after contacting lexus assist they send the RAC up to mine to see if they could get car sorted for me to drive down to drop car off, but we all agreed it was unsafe for me to travel the 200miles down to Edinburgh so car was recovered… my Battery was totally kaputt…. And lexus put a new Battery on when they were doing my warranty job (drivers heated seat stopped heating), never told me if they needed to clear the warnings or it cleared itself…sorry not helpful
