  5. Good News Pete :D Hope it all goes well, & lets hope the wife does meet your old boss sounds like he deserves an earbashing....or worse
  6. I had those for a while, make sure you grease the locking screw once they are on the wheels as they tend to rust VERY quickly & look bad. Mine now in the bin back to black plastic.
  7. IMO if you are refurbing the OEM wheels stick with silver that will look best. If you go for new rims then look at a dark colour to go with your granite sky but they'll have to be at least 18inch :)
  8. Pete Any news how did the interviews go Cheers Bobby
  9. Hi & welcome to LOC enjoy the forums plenty of good info as you know. Your car looks the biz, like the wheels too.
  10. Mines booked in for tints in a couple of weeks & after reading your posts above guys think I will be sticking on the safe side of the law.
  11. Good idea Jamie, I agree. You never know you could be starting a decent annual summer meet B) !!! Go for it. Cheers Bobby
  12. I quite fancy this meet, will keep tuning in for updates, looks like a cracking venue Jamie.
  13. Some snaps from the Speedfest event at Knockhill I went to today. Good turn out & some brilliant cars & some not so brilliant, photo selection of the good the bad & the ugly, you can decide yourselves. http://img391.imageshack.us/img391/3604/cimg0268ww7.jpg http://img391.imageshack.us/img391/3725/cimg0269uy6.jpg http://img368.imageshack.us/img368/2410/cimg0270ib7.jpg http://img385.imageshack.us/img385/4641/cimg0281zz4.jpg http://img391.imageshack.us/img391/5704/cimg0284ek6.jpg http://img385.imageshack.us/img385/9138/cimg0289gl0.jpg Check the size of these discs http://img368.imageshack.us/img368/3663/cimg0301xq0.jpg & they belong to this http://img368.imageshack.us/img368/9003/cimg0302bq4.jpg http://img368.imageshack.us/img368/8269/cimg0307ki7.jpg & some rear end shots http://img385.imageshack.us/img385/653/cimg0335yh9.jpg http://img368.imageshack.us/img368/6267/cimg0317dw7.jpg http://img391.imageshack.us/img391/3664/cimg0283ju4.jpg http://img391.imageshack.us/img391/290/cimg0316oe8.jpg http://img391.imageshack.us/img391/7859/cimg0321zh8.jpg
  14. Howzatt, stainless steel polished lip so should stand up to the weather. Went for these as I wanted dark rims and the colour of these is so close to the granite sky...well just had to have them...you know how it is :D Chris good to hear you are still enjoying that induction kit, any decision on the IS300. Thanks for the comments chaps Bobby
  15. With you on that Kazi., pulled into the gym today & here is an able bodied person getting into her "not disabled badged" (Oh & I see her on the running machines etc in the gym so dont think there is much wrong with her apart from ignorance) BMW & guess where she's parked......in the disabled slot just outside because its raining, gave her a right earful :tsktsk: . Hate too see that. Only decent BMW driver I know....Ok Gord :D Sorry for the rant guys to be fair its not always BMW drivers that are guilty.
  16. Well since owning my Lex for over 18 months now (time flies) & added more mods than I ever thought was possible (not finished yet either), today I bought & fitted new rims. And this (well the supercharger was great) was the most satisfying mod to date. Just to stand back & see such a transformation in the complete look of the car was brilliant. I know some will have different views but new rims are (IMO) the best visual mod to get on the car. OK it is not the cheapest but well worth the dosh. Anyway thought I would share my thoughts, whats your views on the first mod that should be got on a Lex !! Oh & the new rims Kato 18 inch....weather **** as usual here in Aberdeen
  17. Good project Sam & I hope it all goes well. Looks like you have got off on the right foot sourcing some quality products. All the best. Cheers Bobby
  18. Adam, good to hear all is now well with your s/c. Sounds like the car needed a bit of TLC just to get things running right. Post some pics once the bodykit comes down from the wardrobe & onto the car. Sure Lyndsay will be glad to have the house with less car bits lying about :winky:
  19. Low insurance as well.....there is an up side to "maturity :winky: ".........as I said go for it & agree with Lee, TURBO is the way to go. Good luck
  20. I would be up for a meet in the fine weather but of course we are moving into holiday season, so would guess we would be into early August as July will be filled with folks summer hols. Anyone fancy posting a date for August
  21. Looks like a solo meeting ! Fathers day.....hoping for breakfast in bed but more likely to be a bacon roll from the Burger van at Knockhill :D
  22. Go for it Chris you know you want it, would save you looking for a s/c. Bodywork looks good on the pics.
  23. I am running with PI springs on mine & had no probs at all. Lowered the car by 35mm (as it says on the tin :) ) & improved the handling. Decent springs for the price.
