  1. Finally sorted. Its going to cost me £60 for the glass with heating mechanism from lexus. Thankfully my IS didn't have the anti-glare mirror which apparently has some special fluid flowing through it cost that would have cost £170 just for the glass Madness.
  2. Its just the mirror. The housing is intact (thankfully). I hope you are right. I'll give them a ring again tomorrow morning. I was going to look at after market wing mirrors such as the ganador ones if it really costs that much.
  3. Some idiot smashed just my wing mirror and it costs £150 pounds from lexus !!! Just a bloody mirror!!! I don't care if its heated, surely its over the top???
  4. I was thinking about the mintex discs but having trouble getting a hold of rear discs. No one seems to stock them. Asthetically, I would prefer grooved and drilled but they are rather expensive. My budget is maximum £300.
  5. Looking to replace the discs on my IS200 and have been searching the forum and net on which ones to get. At the moment am considering mintex pads but discs seems to be more of a problem. Has anyone used CRN discs before ?? (www.crn-uk.com) Or are DBA the ones to get?? Thanks everyone. adrian
  6. Looking to do exactly the same. On ebay, I've found - Front disc + pads Rear disc + pads The rears are not mintex.
  7. I've been trying to get a hold of some calliper stickers as well as wind deflectors but the club store link seems to be unavailable at the moment. Any ideas when its coming back online. Thanks.
  8. Many thanks ppl. Today the crack looks like it has extended. About 25cm long now. Will ring the insurance company first to check. To be honest, i rather have it replaced than repaired. Adrian
  9. Greetings everyone Unfortunately as I was driving along the M2 today, got hit by a stray road chip or something which has resulted in a :tsktsk: crack in the windscreen of the passenger side of my IS200. I heard these things are quite expensive to replace. I could get it repaired by a company such as autoglass or replace the whole thing completely and claim off my insurance policy. Worried about how it would affect my renewal quotes. Any suggestions. Adrian
  10. 85.9 at my local asda with 90.9 for the expensive stuff
  11. Not a problem. Busy at work for the next week and haven't really found a place to get the ARBs fitted. Have you got any suggestions in Kent?? Adrian
  12. Just ordered a set of the F1s myself. A friend of mine swapped to these from the P-Zeros and speaks highly of them.
  13. Thanks Mike for sorting this all out. The lexus is all black. The panda thing is from my 1st car which was an AE86. Sadly that car is no longer with the running but such fond memories. I did think about maintaining the black and white theme by getting a white IS with carbon fibre bonnet and wing but loved the all black look more. On to the new baby then. :D
  14. Rather excited as the ARBs from the group buy arrived on my door step today. :D Have to say, was rather surprised by how light it was. Nice, shiny and yellow. Can anyone recommend a place to get it fitted in the Kent area? Can't wait to see/feel what difference it makes in terms of handling for my IS. Adrian
  15. yup So is it a matter of quick wash and then wax if its between weekends ?
  16. Do you have to leave 24hrs in between layes of wax?
  17. I've got the next week off and am determined to finally get the car cleaned, polished, waxed, etc. I understand that I should leave 24 hrs in between layers of SG and wax. My question is whether it is better to keep the car covered or exposed to the elements in between layers ? Does it make a difference. And if I do leave it in the open, whats the best way of getting rid of the inevitable new gunk which collects in between layering. Many thanks. Adrian
  18. Greetings all I don't normally post on the forum (quite happy just reading and absorbing as much info as possible) but thought I would give a big thumbs up to the ppl at A-plan. Insurance on my IS200 SE was up for renewal and due to an 'unfortunate' 3 points for speading, was getting quotes between $600 to a ridiculous $1000. Been with Quinn Direct for the last 2 years and A-plan managed to better them all by over 100 quid. Another happy customer Adrian
  19. Quick question ... are the steel pedals from the IS sport fit the automatic pedals on the SE ?? Adrian
  20. Hi there Am new to the forum and still absorbing the huge amount of information on the site. I own a 2003 IS 200 SE auto transmission. Know that the TRD/TTE SC kit will fit my car despita the auto gear box. Was wondering if there are SC or Turbo kits available from the Japanese companies (ie. Blitz, HKS, etc) for the IS? Many thanks. Adrian
