  1. What do you mean wrong amount of studs? Is it different than the pic then as the IS250 is a five stud. You're right about the width, the standard OEM's after 2006 have 8" wide fronts and 8.5" rears..the very first cars had 8" all round but still had wider tyres on the rear.

If you click on the link he posted up ...

    :winky:

  2. 225 isnt stretched on a 8j rim, ive got 225 on a 8.5 on the front of mine and they only look a little stretched.

I did say a little, as the rim protector isn't level but pointing outwards

if your suffering under steer, its possible you have **** tyres on the front, alternative your ARB is set to hard for the front

It's on bridgestone re50's and standard ARB's, under-steer isn't bad but i preferred it when the rear was more involved, my thinking is to reduce the rear width as my car isn't powerful enough to need it unlike the Monster :winky:

but 215, 225 is more than ample for the front of an Is200/altezza

I agree completely but just wanted to keep the wheels the same front and rear that's why i was asking if 235's would be suitable for the front as if i reduce the rears to 235 i wanted to be able to rotate them...

i ran 225/40/18 front and 255/35/18 rear on the original monster set up, and didnt suffer understeer issues

different league to my yoke ...

    cheers

  3. Hi all,

anyone running 235/45/17's on the front?

Would it be too hard on the steering?

I currently have IS250 tyre widths on ie front 225/45/17, rear 245/45/17 and don't think the staggered setup is really suiting as i have understeer since, I'm thinking of putting 235's all round so as to be able to rotate the tyres as usual...

rims are 8j and 225's are a little stretched at present so i'm hoping 235 will be perfect?

    cheers

  4. Mine doesn't have a sunroof but water was collecting in the same side that was repaired after a guy at work backed into the it.... i think it's the boot rubber not making a perfect seal anymore ...

like others above i just removed the rubber bung on the base... :(

  5. Thanks noel

Can anyone tell what the z edition was and if the altezza ever came with leather interior?

there is a link to japan parts somewhere that explains what came on what...

but the "L" edition did have a leather option...

i'll have a look for the link... back in a while :)

  6. Certainly does sir, cheers, they were both listed under altezza on the system!

    Chris

Altezza is imported in two version ...

    RS200 and AS200

as stated above factory figures for the RS200 is 210bhp 4 cylinder engine whereas the AS200 has the same engine as a European Lexus IS200

    HTH

  7. if the width is 235 I think they are supposed to go on rims that are 8.5-9 wide, don't quote me cos i've not looked it up recently

7.5j is perfect for 235mm .... my IS250 8j rims have factory fitted 245's on the rear and 225's on the front

so 225 on the front is better if you have lowered the ride ;)

but remember offset ( ET ) is the MOST important no. of all, get that wrong and your in trouble from the off
