was that dream before you were assembled? :D

It's not needed when you have a pod filter fitted so don't worry about it :)

Few examples from our last meet to help you decide ...:)
Aero 2
C-West

To be honest I don't think I've ever actually seen that bumper apart from that one picture they sell it with so you'd be getting something pretty unique indeed :)
most 2002+ Altezza's coming in to Ireland have that front bumper, but i agree the C-west is the nicest of all but is begging for an intercooler...
:D

The older avensis was one of the most boring cars on the road ... but they sold loads of them, cos of Toyota's reputation....

Reason cops pull you for dark tints is it's extremely dangerous ... pulling across a crossroad at night years ago my brother had dark windows on his Astra and i was in the passenger seat when a biker zoomed past ....neither of us saw him , another split second and he would have come through my window :o .... we got such a shock that the tints were removed the next morning ...

Amazing ... :D
Like how do you practice for a jump like ....

Car washing can be hazardous .... if you notice at the start of the Vid a GUY is washing the inner frames of the doors ...

The Altezza is powered by a 200 BHP BEAMS tuned, Yamaha engine. with steering wheel gear shift controls.
Ah ... did he just copy and paste without reading? where are the steering wheel controls ... lol

what are you expecting to happen????

Weld your diff??? might work when going sideways but it'll be brutal on normal bends, even pulling out of the paddock will be a job ...IMHO open to correction...

Judges over here have more frequently ordered speed limiters to be fitted to "young offenders" cars when convicted of motoring offences, usually for 2 years and the cops can inspect it at their discretion day or night for tampering....
i think if it became a law that every new car was limited then it could start a new trend with manufactures in that the cars gearing wouldn't need to be so long and a 0-70 competition could kick off, which could end up with "regular" cars going quicker, then "sporty cars" would have to be faster again and the result could be alot more dangerous ....

some one posted a way around this a while back .... i'll see if i can find it;)

have you put a multimeter on the horn wires and got 12v's there when the circuit was closed?

Load of sad wannabee coppers.
Probably got a pen and pad handy at all times taking down numbers!!!!
Should be done for careless driving! Some of them on there have hundreds of posts. Must drive around all day looking for " Offenders"
i just checked the Irish section and there's 47 reports made by 3 knobs, two of these knobs are cyclists and one even has a helmet cam so that he can put up pics as well ..... :duh: sad c**t

id go white every time, there is so few in white
True...
To be fair, without bein biased, the Mk 1 IS looks great in most colours.... no lie!
very true ... but the opposite is true for the new IS, theres very few colours I'd actually drive, white, grey, black are nice.... but all those pastel shades are just so boring and gay .... they fecked up this time round :(

Lots of RS200's have turbo's so your not the first ... most use an Apexi power FC ;)
If yours is an AUTO them you will need to get a special "BRASHBOY modded Power FC" as the standard one won't work ...

Fuel consumption 23mpg!!!! Crikey. I'm getting that on average from my LS430.
Gets worse as I only do local "running around" at the moment and it's down to about 20mpg, best I had was about 27 on a long run.
Still fun when you blast it, but an Aristo would cost about the same to run as the Tezza, not as good round the bends though
Mine is similar to Neils and i got 34mpg on a long run and wasn't really trying
normally get mid 20's :)
before anyone makes up their mind they should drive an RS200 and see if it's for them, it's not to everyone's taste but if you like a bit of fun they you'll forgive the lack of refinement .... they are comfortable though as standard ;)

Good news about the boot opening ;)
regards the master key, well in the IS you need this to programme new keys to the cars ECU ...
-
In short this is the only thing that doesn't seem to work on the car. I replaced the battery today in the key fob(s) just in case, but it still won't open with the fob button. I can open it from inside the car but it does bug me abit.
just to be sure have you pressed and held the button for 3-5 seconds?
Also I wonder if there is another key to open the boot. Like a service key. I got two keys with the car and both start it up but won't turn the boot lock. Am I missing a key? Any ideas why the fob won't open the boot lock?does sound like you are missing the master key alright as that opens everything, but if the boot was deadlocked then the you wouldn't be able to open it from inside the car either ...
Next, it's been quite wet and cold these past days. The car doesn't seem to vent very well and the rear and front windows steam up stright away. My old Pug never done this and in 2 years of using that caar I recon I use the rear window demister once or twice. Why is my Lex steaming up? I shouldn't need to run the A/C and even if I do thats for the front windsreen not really the rear. Short of opening the rear windows is there something to check as I felt yesterday I was driving a mobile sauna bath.A/C will dry out there air too, sounds like the car may have been parked for a good while and has gotten damp from lack of use or there's a leaky seal somewhere, found any damp carpets?
btw ...Welcome to the LOC :)
-
untrue ... but having the correct offset (ET) is VERY VERY important ... get that wrong (too small) and they won't fit ...
put up the exact details of the proposed wheels and we'll tell you if they will work or not ... lots and lots of people on here are running 18's already and lowered too.... ;)

06-08 Lexus Gs, Is, And Ls Models Recalled
in Lexus General Discussions
Posted
Lexus has just announced that they will be recalling their Lexus GS 300/350, IS 250/350, and LS 460/460L models for the 2006-08 model year. The recall is meant to replace faulty fuel-delivery lines that can lead to fuel leakage over time - a big no no as far as vehicle safety. The fuel-delivery pipes may not have been coated correctly, as Lexus states that some ethanol fuels with a low moisture content may corrode the internal surface of the pipes. Over time, the corrosion would increase the chance of a pinhole forming in the fuel-delivery pipes, resultng in the fuel leak. Of course, we all know that could lead to an engine fire, so if you own one of these cars or have friends or family that do, have them contact their nearest Lexus dealer immediately.
thats not good
