When you painted your hubs did you do the face of them that the wheel sits on or just the visable part?

nice shade of red not to 'look at me' as bright red.got my hubs satin black and looks good :D Did you spray them or paint them with a small brush?looks a nice smooth finish! Painted with a brush. The paints are hammerite copper hammered finish and hammerite red smooth. Up close with the right light you can see the copper shine...a bit different

Welcome to LOC Cleaner i use is stuff called Shake and Shine made by Simoniz...Is very good stuff but hard to get hold of, last place i found it was B&Q, I ordered a crate from my local car parts shop (sold a few on) Shake and Shine does STINK! but it cleanes very well and adds a good coat of polish, i have used the stuff for years and not found anything as good. I agree with Lexus_IS_200 it can be easy to slip into reverse...I just laugh at it and say 'this vehicle is reversing!' No idea about the sat-nav. Enjoy your IS!!! Lee, I like it, it looks good. any chance of an up-to-date pic with and without the rear gogs lit? I want to get some but was put off by the bulbs.

Hello. Was following this RX300 today but i really don't think it was one, didn't really look like one or something was reallymissing. was badged up as a Lexus RX300 (all these badge's on right hand side of boot) on the left hand side it had badges saying four 3.0 Have never seen this combo before, is an entry level RX? I didn't take the pic whilst driving, my passenger took it, Sorry about the quality it was taken with a phone.

Am a big fan of the originals, when they start getting really nasty i may re-furb them in a different colour, gun'metal/black but keep the polished bit. Would like to get a 2nd set if anybodys got an average set kicking about?

Moffet posted but has anyone replaced the standard lower mesh with a finer mesh to match the sports grille? Just seeing the first picture above makes it stand out that it is totally different! Looked at trying to get the original one off to make it easier...it looks like its formed/glued. Only way i thought of getting it out was by cutting it.

painted mine in a day & dried over night...going to do the hubs next week...satin black and Decal at the same time.

Hello. Posted a while a go for ideas of what colour to do my calipers, I have finally got round to doing them. I mixed Hammerite, copper and red and this is the outcome. Thanks for all the suggestions it was a great help.

Well i wanted Tein but mega bucks...I know coilovers are good, have seen 2nd hand ones what do you recon? How do you know if there good? Also how hard are they to adjust?

had this on my girlfriends car, turned out to be the brake guard rubbing against the disc...was very noisy and did sound like dead pads. Took the wheel off, Bent it back and hmmm nice and quiet. not sure about the back end...could be coil spring?

Hi I have been looking this up for a while...i am going in the direction of mintex disc and pads. Can't recal any mention of how much dust they give off. Thing that put me off Mintex is that they dont seem to do grooved (kinda like that idea) Have had greenstuff on previous car...didn't like them and didn't really seem to work. Aaron

Hello. Have lowered my IS200 sport -35mm with Spax springs. Have found that when giving my car a bit of a hammering going to my girlfriends house (in the country) but without exceeding the speed limit? I have found the back end a little wabbly, could this be because i havn't uprated the shocks? The road does have some odd cambers and fairly fast but sharp corners. (would like to add you can see if any on coming cars + the road is known for being a bit of a fun one) On previous cars i have always done a spring and damper combo but never had the option this time round due to pricing. was also reasured that i wouldn't notice having uprated shocks but with the size and weight of the IS im not sure. What do you guys think? Thanks Aaron
