  1. I would have thought it would be covered by warrenty...if you get it checked let me know how you get on.
  2. PM'ed JamieF the other day, spotted on Ebay.com some rear light mask's...kinda makes the IS look like a skyline the seller post's worldwide.
  3. Hi All As previous post's have gone knocking and creakig when turning braking etc. I took my wheels off this weekend to paint my calipers, and found that the guide screws that go through the disc into the wheel hub are missing, meaning that the studs that hold the wheel in place knock (you can hold them and move them back and forth) so that would mean that when braking the disk stops then the hub catches up with it then knocks, (creaks inside the cabin) Don't know if this is the case with all Lexus but am pretty sure its the case with mine.
  4. Thanks for the reply Does that mean the clutch is dying? How long does the clutch last (i know depending on drivers) my cars hit 100k is it something that'l be comming up? Any idea's of how much i will be putting into Lexus's pocket for just the clutch kit? Cheers Aaron
  5. I have this too...hasn't bothered me up to this point...would like to know what it is tho. when can is ticking over in neutral and no pedals pushed it kinda rattles a bit. when the clutch pedal is pushed it stops rattling. dont know if its the splash plates or anything? I know the clutch is hydrolic but there maybe a linkage need greasing or something?
  6. reset ECU the other day and car still idles a little lumpy. I only use ultimate unleaded (BP) occasionally run a injector cleaner. any ideas on how to smooth out my idling???
  7. Mine sits level with the headlight...at a guess about 120mm above the bolk head bit.
  8. Hi I have found this with some car parks and with various cars and tyres...its the surface of the car park and probably oil and s**t on the surface. Never had Bridge's currently got Goodyear F1's and one car park in particular is very squealy. Aaron
  9. Hi Got my cam belt done couple of months ago. (i have no S/C) car had hit 100K (no history of cam belt change) its done from the front, rad does come out, all belts off, they found that my crankshaft pully had cracks in it (the big one) that cost me £240 to replace (i think Supra's and GS's are prone to this) with the rest of the service total bill was £480 That wasn't with a lexus main dealer.
  10. Love the vents just behind the rear wheels, Does look the nuts in black too. never been a fan of smooth tailgates...Nice one!
  11. I got my sports grill off ebay can't remember how much for now, its fine. Corsa's and all the other little chumps are just wanna be lexus owners...just remember your driving the car that started the craze. Hope you enjoy your IS200 as much as the rest of us!
  12. I got a '99 Sport, was told by Lexus when looking for my car that all sports have got an LSD even says in the owners manual that sports have LSD How can I find out for sure?
  13. Hello I had the same little issues fitting the induction kit (appart from battery) I just adjusted the VVTi plastic bit to hold the induction kit. (didn't get a free bit of hose) Have also made up a bracket for the filter end (bit of extra support) At the weekend fitted a Kazama also. Gave the car a run up to Alton towers from Essex (about 280miles round trip) car drove nice and exhaust wasn't too loud on motorway, Oh and used 3/4 of a tank. (was also running Forte fuel system cleaner) I have found that tickover is now a little lumpy...anybody know how i can adjust this? I have not reset the ECU is this the same as most and just disconnect the battery for about 20mins? Induction kit does sound good, exhaust has got a hell of a rumble...its all good! :) Thanks Prolex! Aaron
  14. hello Would say brakes but otherwise a suspension joint or coil spring/shock...has it been steam cleaned? Does the car do it if you bounce it on each corner?
  15. Dont know about the pods but a usefull and cool guage would be a G meter...don't know if they exist tho', Have seen that theres a drift meter with drift angles etc.
  16. Have got a sport which has a shiny, looks like im getting a Kazama then...as i want a bit of noise
  17. The exhaust, is it a noisy big bore type? and just the back box? what kind of pipe tip? you wouldn't have the part number for it? cheers.
  18. Car looks mean, I bet you bring fear to the streets! :shutit: im jealous ;)
  19. what do uprated bushes do to the car...what are the advantages into changing them? :mat: could old bushes be a reason behind this clunking thing...alot of mention has been the brakes but could it be bushes and when the car is jacked up or disturbed when the brakes are inspected that its done something to the bushes...i dunno? :mat:
  20. ok been reading this, i must be a thicky...got a '99 (T) IS200 sport as you know 2 litre whats gonna happen to tax? how much? oh yeh governmant :tsktsk:
  21. B :tsktsk: DS!!!! I hate speed camera's! but then who does like them...understandable near schools, fareplay but alot of them are in 'whats the point' locations
  22. All i know is that the management system needs a few fill ups before it starts recognising the different octane ratings etc. i use BP Ultimate and occasionally run an STP fuel system cleaner through, having not used any other type of fuel i wouldn't notice any difference. my old car loved BP ultimate, anything else it wouldn't tick over too good etc and my girlfriend has a polo diesel and she actually does get better MPG with the cleaner diesel from BP and thats when i drive her car too, (she isn't one to drive fast) Does anybody else use Fuel system cleaners and which ones and find any differences?
