  1. Hi. I Just ordered a set of silver spinning anti-theft valve caps with a more substantial key. I've also ordered a set of chrome valve sleeves to cove the std rubber valve. It seems people who buy the normal caps or even std anti-theft ones they get nicked. But the spinning ones don't. - So We'll See. :winky:
  2. well i was advised to bulldog clip them as far out as they go then dip them in a bucket of washing powder solution. I am sure it works well but i used vanish oxi action on them (i should get royalties for advertising this stuff) brought them up well and dries quite quickly Austin Cheers Austin. LMAO Yeah the Oxi Action is good for a lot of stuff ! I find myself using it on many things. - Dunno why but when it comes to the car the simple stuff seems to scary to risk trying.....Shoulda thought of that like u said for the mats
  3. Afternoon Guys. My Seatbelt has a habit of getting caught in the door when I get in. It got caught in the lock and has grease stains on it. What's the best way to get it out, without casing discolouration ? Thanks :)
  4. Nice One Tony :winky: I checked mine but from where I was checking and a bit of dirt or something I read it as 100 hehe
  5. Hi. I' wanna get at the bulbs behind the drivers window switches. It's such a corner cutting excercise I reckon not illuminating all the buttons. - Even my old 406 had each button all round illminated. And the only 2 switces on the driver's side that are illuminated are so dull its almost useless I wanna brighten it up, but either removing the orange sleeve of the bulb or fitting an LED. To get access to those switches do I just pry it off/out of the door gently ? Also the other buttons I wanna do this with secondarily, are the 3 down at the right of the steering wheel for the rear fogs etc. - How do I access the bulbs for these aswell ? I preseme they all use the 286T 5mm wedge type ? Thanks guys :)
  6. Hi Guys. I was looking for the paint codes too as I'm thinking about a sport grille. It's plat Ice but I wanna make sure theres no shade difference etc. I looked at the plate and it has lotts of long numbers in addition to the load weight limits. Which one of these number is the code hehe ?
  7. Sounds good guys ! Deffo pics please when u can Kazi :)
  8. Thanks guys. Guess I'll have to nobble my neighbours' carpet cleaner Will normal carpet shampoo be ok ?
  9. Hi Guys. My beige mats need a good wash, but as I've always had rubber mats (Even now I use clear ones over the carpet to prevent constant soiling but keep the interior 'light') I've not had to wash any b4. Can I just shove 'em in the washining machine/dryer ? I don't want the colour to go weird or anything. As for the actual carpet of the car floor - I take it a valet would be the obvious thing to do, but as I've already done my seats and headlining etc with a decent product, I though I may as well try to do it all myself. Thanks for your auggestions. :)
  10. Really ?! Mine came with solid fronts. The dealer even had to check the VIN cos he aid there were 2 slightly different types of front pads for the IS200. I was assuming that was due to the difference between non/ventilated...Hmmm now I really wanna check em hehe. If they need changing then vents are gonna have to be done all round ;) Something dodgy going on.... definitely should have Ventilated discs on the front! Is this a Lexus dealer? I don't know if it's possible but did the last owner put rear discs on the front by mistake?..... has to be a mistake as rear ones cost more usually . Interesting...Unless they had to change the original vent fronts but couldnt be bothered to pay the extra and got solids fitted. - My braking is excellent though. I might have to look further into this ...
  11. wow....sounds like a huge job. More than expected. I suppose it would probably be a lot cheaper and easier to find a tasteful way of mounting an after-market SNav in the same area. If anyone's ever done that, I'd sure like to hear from em with pics :)
  12. Greetings all. Quick one. Can this be done ? Anyone had it done ? If so Cost ? Cheers :)

  14. 4 gig what the hell will you use all that for Wow, 4 gig of RAM ! I use 2 gigs PC3200 RAM running at dual channel, and that's very fast. - I need it as I'm very demanding on my games graphics and like all the eye candy ramped up to max. You certainly won't use all of it at the moment.. At least you'll be ready for the next iteration of Windows :D
  15. Hi guys. Was just reading this older thread and was wondering...As my front pads are low, I've just bought a set of front pads. Cost £60 inc VAT. But I was wondering what the new and minimum thicknesses are for the front discs. Mine are solid all round, I know that the 2004 models got ventillated fronts. I may aswell get those checked too while I'm doing the pads. Thanks in advance :)
