  1. Nice. Plat Ice like mine. The best colour I reckon. Welcome to the club :)
  2. The ECU would need to be reset directly after refuelling with the 102 Octane..there's a method for doing it on this site somewhere. so do a search. Alternative would be to leave the ECU to set itself, but as that's likely to take at least two tankfuls that's the expensive option. Could always try a percentage..say try 25% then work up to 100% over a period of time. OK Thanks. I thought of the mixing but I was worried that would not be wise. So I can safely mix the 102 bp ultimate with any other regular unleaded ?
  3. Nice One. I just finished mine in Red today. Did all 4 in 2 days. Waiting for the paint to cure for a week or two b4 I add the decals :winky:
  4. Hi guys - At the risk of sounding like a bit of an idiot....If I wanted to try a bit of this stuff on my trip to the petrol station, would it be safe to put in in my car ? It is completely standard, engine wise for an IS200 SE Auto. I'd be interested to know if I'd get any benefit if I tried it :)
  5. Interesting - I have used them before for my previous 2 cars when people damaged them. I just thought that they might try to take the mick cos it's a Lexus. If they do it at that price I hope they do the same kinda juob i.e. same amount of coats. I was pleased with their work before but not on my lovely Lexus and in such a prominant position. Good to know that they're good enough for me to hear aout them from those who don't live in the area :)
  6. Was surfing e-bay and saw these and just thought 'Quality' - especially the Nav-Lav http://cgi.ebay.com/USB-CAFE-keep-your-caf...8QQcmdZViewItem http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/LAV-NAV-NIGHTLIGHT-T...1QQcmdZViewItem
  7. Excellent guys cheers. I live right next to the Hanger Lane :)
  8. Afternnonguys. Jus wondering if u guys think these are convincing enough... :winky: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/LEXUS-TRACKER-CAR-AL...1QQcmdZViewItem
  9. I was looking for accessories on google and it came up on my searches. Glad it did too :)
  10. Cheers for that...I'm wondering if they can transform my steering wheel into a two-tone one for an equally reasonable price. :)
  11. oof... Could be worse I guess, but when u think they are only limited by the time it takes to dry the paint, I'd say about an hour's work to paint/laquer it...tututut
  12. I just read this post and went and bought one from Halfords, £139.99. It seems very good value and does postcodes too, i'm chuffed as I couldn't convince myself I needed one for £350. Thanks for the heads-up mate. :D ...Raises eyebrow...Hmmm Yeah Here Here, Might just have to check that out !
  13. Hi guys. At some point I wanna get it resprayed due to stone chips. I presume some must have had it done already. My IS is Plat Ice. How much roughly am I looking at ? Thanks :)
  14. how do these fit on? i take it they fit over the plastic existing stems, but how?? it doesn't appear as if they could slide on from the top?? would it require a tyre place to fit them??? Nah. Just remove the dust cap and slide them over the rubber sleeve and replace dust cap :)
  15. Looks Classy Man..for £90 sounds good. Which company mate ?
  16. "where did you get the chrome sleeves from mate???" Hi mate. Sorry he beat me to it. :) Anyway...Glad these types were posted so I can explain what I went for and why. I was gonna go for those Lexus ones but I decided against it and went for the other spinning ones in titanium finish for 3 reasons. 1a) I heard the Lexus ones still get nicked as they lock into place, and can be forced off, which could bugger my tyre up. Don't wanna go there. 1b)That little tool is minute and fiddly, and I wanted something easier to use. 2) The Spinning ones I hear don't get nicked plus they come with a much better tool and the locking hole is located on top instead of the side, which would allow u much easier access. 3) The Lexus ones £6 cost more and for the extra I could get the sleeves and postage esp with the additional item discount :) Link For Chrome Stems: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...AMEWN%3AIT&rd=1 "Corrosion was a major problem when I took the car in to get two new tyres and rotate the other two. It took ages for the fitter to get the caps off and what should have been kwik took a very long time, all down to the caps corroding onto the valve stems, needless to say I didn't put chrome caps back on! Hoping that the standard Lexus ones are of better quality than the ones I got from eBay." The spinning ones are nickel plated brass with staybrite annodised finish so sorrosion on the wheels shouldn't be a problem. I don't forsee any cos I check my tyre pressures once a week anyway, so they'll get frequent use :winky: Plus the sleeves cover the base of the stem, whereas the lexus one stop short. - It says all valves are standard. - If I have any trouble with it in the IS alloy recess I'll let u guys know here. :winky: Cheers !
