  1. I'm selling mine over the next few weeks (hopefully) IS200 SE

93K 99 (V) although private plate comes with it (glenavron Pine) GREEN

4 x new tyres front 3000m ago back 1000m ago

Brand new disc's & pads ie bought just last week (thees are due to be replaced again under warranty next week because of faulty disc's)

FSH lexus service history for the 1st 7yrs private garage after that

Geometry with dr bones 7K ago

Pm me for more info or if your interested although I won't be selling until I've found the right IS300

I HAVE EVERY RECEIPT FROM THIS CARS BIRTH FROM WINDSCREEN WIPERS TO CAM AND TIMMING BELTS

  2. I should have said the reason I asked was just been looking around at upgrading to an IS300 insurence premium is quite a rise from the current IS200 so anyway to get the premium down it would be a help and loosing 3 points would make a slight difference i'm sure....

Anyone know if there any company's out there that require less than 5yrs of endorsments? ie 4yrs lol

    Cheers

    Gordon

  3. Afternoon all

I keep getting conflicting stories from other drivers on points some say 4 yrs some say 3yrs 1 says it depends on the offence

I have 3 points for TS20 (double white line offence) which will be four years ago next month does anyone know how long they should be on my license before I can remove them I thought it was 4yrs but with all the insurence company's wanting to know of any points within 5yrs is there any point in having them removed yet?

    Thanks in advance

  4. Hello mate i'm no techno geek so i can't post you a link but i have the instructions (tried and tested) PM me your email ill send the info back to you

ps its a vey difficult proccedure (personally) but it does work

    regards

    Gordon

have a new key which needs programing.anyone know the sequence to do this.cheers
  5. Thanks for the info guys i decided going with dial a phone could end up being more hassle than its worth so I've stuck with Vodafone although i threatened to leave so they gave me a new phone the W910i Gold and 12mths half the line rental i was currently paying so all in all not a bad deal

    Thanks Again

  6. I have (i think) one of the first registered IS200 SE's it was registred on Jan 99

so its what just over 9yrs old

I still get the "nice car" comments thats good enough for me

People really believe that my IS is a very expensive modern, posh, car and with my Private Plate no one would know the diffrence :whistling: although since the intro of the new IS value has come down and there are more and more on the road

So i guess what i'm saying is you can have a moder.posh.expensive car for under 5k and it will go on forever and still turn heads

Ok i'm rambling now its early

  7. Thanks guys i'm currently on a £35pcm contract anyway for the same sort of minutes and texts as they are offering i'm covered on my household insurance and with my bank for mobile phones cameras and away from home items etc etc so i won't be taking out their insurance

So it would seem that its not such a bad deal I was just wondering if anyone has had problems with the company and their offers etc etc

    Cheers

  8. Thanks for the info chaps ive opted for the standard sky plus for now. Will be here next week can't it will save a lot of arguments between me and the misses as to who's watching what at what time.

I can just record whatever give her a few quid on a saturday and point her in the direction of town ahhhhhhhhh peace and quiet :whistling:

  9. Excuse my ignorance but presumably its just the sky channels you have to pay £10 a month for and not the privilege of have the HD box?

What i mean is I might get the box but not necessarily sign up for the HD package until it gets a dam sight better

    GWilso

If the deal lets you just pay £99 for the HD box the I would considerit as you get BBC HD free (and i think channel 4 have just released a HD channel thats not within skys sbscription). However my assumption is that they would want to tie you in to a years HD subscription, which i wouldnt bother with as £10 seems alot for what you get at the mo.

Im very happy with my + box, and untill I can afford a 1080P 50" plasma im not fussed about HD on my 32"

  10. Afternoon

I took up Sky's introduce a friend offer a few months back and we introduced the wife's parents to Sky the offer was for both party's to receive a free Sky + Box which was great as we are currently on standard Sky

We received the confirmation letter about our free box yesterday OR "we could upgrade to Sky + HD for £99" Which a saving of £100+ on buying the box alone...............

Seems like a good offer but is it really worth it yet? has anyone got the HD box? do you have to subscribe to the current HD channels IE pay out more £

Even though there isn't that many HD channels at the minute I don't think it will be long before we are all overcome by HD

Any thoughts what would you do :crybaby::unsure:

    Cheers

  11. I should also add that from what you've described it should'nt be your fault he technicly ran into the back of you

The Highway Code dictates that you should not assume a lorries direction...... he may have needed to use the middle lane just to make the left turn there is a blind spot on lorries on the corner of the nearside but i would imagine he should have still seen you
I would say without a doubt he is at fault. He should be turning left from the left lane not the middle lane unless of course he was an exceptional load that couldn't turn from the left lane in which case he should be looking in mirrors and taking great care.

  13. Have you any damage from the bad fitting ??

If you have, you will have a case :D

If it was only a few weeks ago, i dont thing you will have much damage, if it was me, i would have a look for any water/wet inside, wipe away (if any) run car with heater blowing down to your feet, on max to dry wet/damp(if any)

No obvious water damage at the minute just wanted to check if i was covered if something were to wrong but ill try the drying out thing just in case thanks for the info Gord

  14. Hi all

I posted a couple of weeks ago about a lot of exsesive wind noise and creaking front doors after having a new windscreen fitted by Autoglass the other day i took in for an inspection under warrenty at their local office.

They admmitted reluctently that the first screen haddent been bonded/sealed correclty on the drivers side!

What I want to know is if they were to have done any damage to Fuse box or any other parts because of rain damage am I covered in anyway?

    Thanks
