  1. i got 1... not sure on the number above the casette thing though
  2. i was looking at mintex aswell, what does everyone recommend? and if you chnage the discs on the car you should change the pads aswell otherwise they dont wear in properly, pads will wear to discs but discs dont wear to pads... and grooved discs will always give a noise
  3. i do all my servicing too, havn't had the car long enough to worry about it just yet and was done not long before i bought it, and the timing belt was done recently too... when i service my is200 what do i need to change, usual oil, oil filter, air filter, fuel filter, spark plugs, is there anything else i need to do? cheers
  4. all fixed... i took the caliper apart, put it in the vice and pushed the sticky cylinder in and now seems to be fine, can feel the difference when slowing down and pulling away, i dont have the drag from that brake slowing me down anymore. even though ive fixed this, will it reoccur everynow and again, or should it be fine from now on? does this mean that i will need some new calipers soon? cheers for your help peeps
  5. i'll take a look at mine today, and let you know what i find... all i know to warp a disc you have to really thrash your car hard n then cool the discs quickly like going thru a puddle, happened a couple times on my old rover 220 turbo, but then engine was uprated and i took it on a few track days where the discs just got abused, but the lexus i havn't driven anywhere near as hard, but over christmas it was sitting without being moved for about 5 days maybe...
  6. i have the exact same problem on my 200, in last couple days ive noticed juddering, today i pulled over at a garage and smoke pouring off my passanger side front wheel and the disc was glowing bright red but only in 1 place, not all the way around, so i ashumed warped disc, was gonna go buy a set of discs and pads tomorrow, but if your saying its the caliper i'll take a look at it before buying new pads and discs cos these aint all that old... my brakes seem to work fine still not spongey or wierd and the car is drivaeble under 60mph its only when i go over 60 does the disc start to heat up and wobble... could it still mean the disc is warped from where its been heating up as the caliper is siezed?
  7. hmmm, i checked both springs and there sitting fine, and i cant remember what make they are lol, and i lowerd it 40mm
  8. im getting like a knocking noise from my front suspension, its been doing it since i lowered the car, any idea's?
  9. the bid on that spoiler ran out before i could get to it, and the guy hasn't replied to my messages, anymore about?
  10. Tom you know the 4 little black strips that i sent with the spoiler use them to lign it up take the 4 screws out 2 at each end of the spoiler and push the piece that stick up off the black strips into the screw holes put the spoiler in place on the boot get a friend to hold it the position you are happy with then tape the black strips into position with masking tape. Then remove the spoiler and leave the strips in place on the car, Cut off the bits that are sticking up as these are the drill points then drill the holes start with a small pilot drill and check the position from inside the boot lid then if your happy with where they are drill the holes out again with the correct size drill bit then remove the black strips and put your spoiler back in place and screw the screws in to hold it in place the rubber/foam seals are already fitted to the spoiler. Hope that helps a bit but if you get stuck mate pm me and i'll try and help you further :D Chris... :) cheers mate, its all fitted now, i just used masking tape and a template and it fits perfectly... although im a bit mythed, ive got 2 of the screw bolts in, but i cant get the other 2 in because there behind the double skin of the boot if you know what i mean. ive glued it down as well though seems solid enough.
  11. never had much problem with mine either, if the roads been a bit wet like it has been, and where i work the road is a bit ****ty and oily i end up going up the road sideways (not like stupid ammounts) but its more fun then dangerous, the roads always empty and and pretty wide, never had a problem where it kicks out unless i want it too....
  12. has anyone got dimensions for whjere to drill the holes in mjy boot lid to fit amyh TRD spoiler? cheers
  13. nope... seems like alot of effort to change 6x9's lol, so is that what i gotta do?
  14. i have tried for ages to chnage them as they've blown, but no luck, i cant find any clips or screws that hold the speaker cvovers or the parcel shelf down? anyone know what i have to do? cheers
  15. Does anyone have a standard boot spoiler in granite sky (1C6) which they wanna swap for 1 with a lip spoiler on? im from romford in essex area, any takers?
  16. engine really needs a lil more power and longer range gears, the car is a heavy, and underpowered not that its a big deal, i love it still
  17. hmm if you accelerate in 6th gear it kills my mpg (on the gauge) but cruising from 60 - 80 it stays around 30 - 40mpg...
  18. yea thats the 1, cheers i bought aido's lex last year, unfortunetly it was written off :(
  19. hi, does anyone have 1 of these? Blitz have stopped making them and its nto fair, i want 1!!! does anyone know any that are for sale or feel like chnaging there 1 for something different? cheers
  20. My lex is granite sky...and has no spoiler on the boot. I'de be quite happy to do a swap as really like the lip spoiler. I'm in Bexleyheath & work in Thurrock :D ahh thats a bit better, do you wanna do just a straight swap? your boto lid in good condition? cheers
  21. right, i think my spoiler is bolted down, rather than get all these holes welded up, does anyone wanna swap there boot lid with no spoiler with my with a lip spoiler? my cars in granite sky v reg 99 so be handy if they matched colours too
  22. Same for me I had the Sport spoiler on IS 99 plate.. mine had 3 screws & tons of bond stuff (which is a huge pain to get off) the holes will need to be rewelded up an whole boot spraying = very costly to be honest unless you know someone who can do it on the side cheap... but a good place will have no problem fitting it, its just how much you have to spend my total cost was £250 but I sold the old spoiler for £85 perfect scenario is a boot with no spoiler/holes previously then its just a spray very cheap, and fit.. hope this helps i'll try find 1
