After talking to paul at leceister, I'm going to settle on a nice black IS250 SE with the multimedia package and auto (seeing as the SE-L version has just added rain sensors, option to have anti collision and a better interior wood trim! all for 2 extra smackers) Apparently, Lexus GB are goign to let the dealers have a run of the IS250 around the track aroudn oct 8-10, so pitch yrou question to the dealers then

I'm also considering ordering the IS 250 or 220d (which one has the automatic ? ) And jsut been making a few calls to Leicester, and Edgeware road. Anyone have any good/deal experiences with other dealers for ordering the IS 250?

My car is running at 54K at the moment, and needs a 6000 mile check at 56K. Is it worth waiting to do the 60K full works? or to do a routine servicing at 56k at North Staffordshire dealer?

I just got myself a nice black IS200 second hand and was wondering which gears correspond well to which speed. I noticed that the gears are quite short Gear 1 - uphill from start/stop - 0-5mph Gear 2 - Birmingham M6 traffic hell *grin* - 5-20 mph Gear 3 - City travelling - 20-40 mph Gear 4 - City travelling - 30-60 mph Gear 5 - Motorway/country road heaven - 50 - 70 mph Gear 6 - Motorway - 60 to infinity and beyond... But ideally, when should one use gear 5/6 for the right corresponding speed that doesnt kill the driveshaft/gearbox?
