I was thinking of making some of these just the other day! I had this thought of getting some standard Plates and cutting out the Lexus logo with a Dremel and then putting a Blue EL sheet under the cut out logo( I guess you could use whatever colour EL sheet you wanted). Now im scared to think of things in case Lexus have implated some thought reading bug when I drive the car hehe Brett

Yes its alot like the Lexus one only its not going to cost me £500 that Lexus Leeds quoted me :( and the helpfull sales man in Lexus Leeds said " Lexus club?, I dont know about it." so im hoping to be saving at least £200 which is always good news :) Brett

Hi everybody. Im fed up with my Lexus CD Changer so Im looking to replace it with a Sony MD head unit Ive got a Din facia coming from the states. not had much luck with a wiring harness though. so it looks like im going to have to join an ISO socket to the wires. How easy is this going to be? am i looking at alot of problems as I would like to use the speakers and amp that are already in the car, My sony has pre outs for the front and rear and it has remote switching. My old car a 306 was just a matter of unplugging the OEM unit and popping in the new Sony one. This looks like a whole new world to me. so any helpful pointers would be of great help. Ps the unit in the car now is the fujitsu model with the cd slot at the bottom. Many thanks Brett

Well I unstuck it, and then an hour later it got jammed again, so Im going to change the head unit. anyone know of a good place to get the required parts? many thanks Brett

Hi all, I posted a msg earlier but it seems to have vanished hmm just like Bond's Vanquish.. anyhoo. My CD player has jammed up, anyone have a solution to fix it? it just makes a motor noise as if its trying to load or eject a disc, there's 2 original discs stuck in there somewhere and i dont like the idea of having to take the headunit out as it looks like its gonna be a job and a half!!! the cars not under Lexus warranty now :( Today I got my gold club card now i feel like im one of the big boys!!! Thanks to everyone in this group, your a top bunch :) Brett

Hi Group, Ive had my Is200 for a week now! yesterday the CD changer decided to jam up! all I hear is a motor trying its best to either eject or suck in a disc and it wont change discs, the discs are originals not cdr's or anything odd like that, its not under warranty as its just gone 3 years old :(, Anyone have a solution that doesnt involve taking out the unit and removing the cd's by hand? I also got my Gold Club Card today and stickers etc. I feel like one of the Big Boys now w'hoo:) thanks for being such a friendly and helpfull group. Brett

Hi Im very new to the world of Lexus, but i have to say this is my 3rd car and its a different world and i like it! My car is the IS200 SE Auto, V reg 99 in Aztec Fire... I have a few questions. 1.Does anyone know if there is a converter lead so i can use a different brand of MD changer? I was shocked at the £600.00 Lexus wanted to charge me for what looks like a Sony MD changer. 2.Im looking to get the rear spoiler with light, anyone know how much I should be looking to pay for this? 3.also looking for the rear parking sensors, anyone have any recomendations? 4.I have a Pocket Pc with GPS with onscreen Speedo In my old car a Peugeot 306 the speed on the GPS was very close to the speedo on the car. In the Lexus it reads 50 MPH but the GPS only says around 40MPH, I know that speedo's read a little higher but should I be concerned about what seems to be quite a difference? 5.Last but not least the Drivers side door creaks when I open or close it. its always been dark when I get chance to look at it so far, is just in need of some oil?
