  1. Hi there guys! My is2 is black and this saturday gone I washed my car and it looked so dull , so I bought some black color magic, autoglym super-resin polish & extra gloss protection. I applied all three coats on Sunday, gave it a final buff with a machine and I have to say my beloved looks the dogs ding dongs again. I think I might try this meguires stuff just to compare the two. :D Amit.
  2. Hi there, I want a set of these plates. Any chance of a Group Buy ??? Amit.
  3. Congratulations Niel. Theres nothing like when you go to order your new car, well done nice spec mate! Regards Amit.
  4. Hi there Mate, I've not had my Lexus that long and i've done some research on dimond brite. The stuffs ment to be very good, protects against weather, bird poop, ultra/sun ect and has a 6 year warranty. Where do you live? as I spoke to the area manager of the company and he put me in touch with a person direct who will do the car inside & out for £150.00. Amit.
  5. Hi Everybody :D I Had my car booked in at Lexus Stockport to have the Gold Badging done. While I was waiting to pay, I asked the lady about the situation on alloys. Mine has very very slight blotching on them, in the inner curves. She went out and had a quick look & told me she would replace them under warranty! I asked her about the type of alloys I'd get & she said 5 brand New ones, like the ones I have with the milled finish. I've used Lexus Stockport three times and give then :P 10 out of 10 :P for customer service. :D Amit.
  6. Hi Everyone! :P I've been calling everyone for prices today as I need to replace all four shoes and at the moment I'm running around on about 1.6mm. I found a place in manchester that does the Eagle F1s for £98.66 inc of vat & fitting. The thing is I can't decide wether to go for the Eagle F1s or Michelin Pilot sport Has anyone tried the Michelin Pilot Sports???
  7. Hi there everyone, Thanks for all your advice, tips and information. I'm going to try and find someone who has had some experience with is200s to fit my ice, hopefully at a decent price. I don't think I should attempt the back shelf & door panels my self as every other car i've had the door panels have never gone back on the same. If anyone knows of any contacts in manchester that don't charge a second mortgage i'd be greatfull. Thanks once again.. :)
  8. Thats true Supracharged, But I thought i'd try and keep the speakers so not to mess about with the nicely fiited lexus ones and also the hassle and extra cash, although I don't mind buying new ones its just when I sell the car I thought I may put the factory stereo back in. What do you reckon? Have you done any Audio changes to your Lex?
  9. Thats true I had the same problem. What about it you ordered in bulk and may be spoke to the company.
  10. Hi Supracharged! Can the cabin speakers run if I take out the standard amp and replace it with a new 4ch amp ( about the same size so it can fit back in the same place).
  11. Hi there steve, Thanks for the prompt posting, the kit is great with the bonus of all the complete screws and fittings! Nice .
  12. Hi there everyone :D ! I've got hold of my facia now :D which can take double din fittings, so hopefully I will be able to fit my ICE soon with some good advice from you all. I have a Tape Head Unit & a Spectrum Mini-disc to go under it. My set-up also has a 6disc cd changer to go in the boot & the Amp/Bass. I need all the advice I can get as I've heard the is200 can be abit tricky to work on . My 1st question is: I'm keeping all my cabin speakers standard for now as they sound quite good, can I connect them to my head unit while running them through there standard Amp. 2nd: Is there a wiring loom available to convert my new stereo's wiring loom to the existing car loom.
  13. Hi There everyone ! :D I've had my is sport for about three weeks & the tyres are down to 2mm. I'm not sure as to which tyres to buy in terms of Connering, Dry, wet and ride quality. The tyres fitted to the car are Dunlop 9000 SP Sport. If not to much trouble could all you lex members advise ! Thanks :D Amit.
  14. Thanks everyone for your advice and views on dimond bright. This is the kinda reviews I was looking for to make sure spending £150.00 on polish would be justifiable. I'm just waiting for my Gold Membership to be sorted & I'll see if I'am able to get it at even a better price. Amit........... :D
  15. Hi ! Has anyone tried these custom made stealth boxes. They fit at each side of the wheel arch in the boot. I called the firm & they cost £150.00 each or £250.00 for Two. Has anyone heard the sound quality?
  16. Cheers guys, your right, I've gone right off the idea & at the end of the day it is a Lexus!

    Polish

Thanks guys, I only use the stuff once a year, I have a new bottle of Autoglym Polish and will try that next time.
  18. Hi fellow Lex Members, I was reading about a product called "10k boost" It's meant to clean something or the other, you spray it in the air intake pipe. They say your car has optimum performance for only about the first 10'000 miles then you start to loose some. This product says it gives better responce, power and fuel economy. Has anyone tried it ??
  19. Hi there everyone, Its been very frosty recently so was at my local Lex dealer and asked them about a car cover. They said one was available so I was over joyed, when the lex guy came back he told me they cost about £220.00 so I said o.k. and that i'd let him know if needed one. The thing is I still want a car cover but you guessed it not for £220.00. ! Has anyone bought one or know where I could get one, also what size I would need as I want it to cover the whole car and prefer elasticated at the bottom.

    Polish

Hi there Lex members. :D Its sunday to day, I've hand washed my car, and fully polished it. If anyones ever wondered which polish to use try MER polish, I've used it for years and tried many other polishes over the years. Mer is great because its easy to put on and very easy to take off. Your able to use it in most tempretures, in direct sunlight, wet or dry. This time I bought a circle shaped applicator from halfords which made applying the polish easy and more even. It cost me about £2.50 so good value too. I had my full is200 done in one hour and my arms did'nt fall off at the end. Glass :D If you find cleaning your glass a chore you must try Mer glass polish, the stuff is great, you just apply it to the glass inside and out & then take it off after a few minutes when its dry which is even easier then putting it on and presto it looks so good it's like theres no glass.. Magic. Tyers :D I use to use tyre foam on my tyers now I use the Auto Glym Tyre dressing. I find the shine comes up better but also lasts abit longer. Has anyone tried any others?
  21. Hi there S/charged is300, Yes your right it was "admin" I emailed and I payed by C/Card & it went through some system called paypal. I was going to try again but I don't want end up paying twice. And Thanks doodlebug i'll chk out your link to the product. Have you hade it done on you car? if so is it good?
  22. Thanks mate. You may be able to shed some light but on the 2/01/03 I joined up to be a Gold Member through paypal. I got a confirmation which took me through a screen to choose my user name & password. After doing this I thought it would be intant but I still can't log in as it says theres no member of this name. I've tried to email the club but have not heard anything! Is there anything else which needs to be done??
  23. Hi there Lex Members ! I was wondering has anybody heard about a product called "Dimond Brite"? I have bought a Black is200Sport and the dealer says when you wash your car it stays like showroom finish everytime. The dealers charge around £200.00, But i spoke to the area manager of dimond brite & he recomended a place in manchester which does it for about £150.00. They do the outside which is meant to last for six years & they treat the interior with a scotch guard type of application. If anyone has heard about the product or had it done i'd be interested in hearing your views!
  24. Hi there, I've just joined the Lexus Owners Club & I've only had my is200 Sport for two weeks. I think the club is great with lots of usefull information, I've been making some enquiries about changing the head unit to my Kenwood Double Din units. I'm interested in this facia din plate. I've just sent you a pm so i'll keep a look out for your reply. Cheers Amit.
