  1. And there was me thinking I'd been had by the service station. I'll have to go back there now for my next fill to ease my conscience in thinking bad of them !!!! Thanks for clearing that up for me .... don't know why I always thought it had a 60 litre tank. It's currently about 88c a litre here (approx 60p) but we don't have any selection of fuels. Just normal 96Unleaded. Used to have a 98 sold in a few places, but almost completely gone now. franmac
  2. I got 68 litres into the 60 litre tank of the IS a few weeks ago....... I'm sure Weights and Measures would be interested. Needless to say I won't be using that filling station again !!! franmac.
  3. Doesn't sound right to me ......... maybe he meant flooded with water .... If water got down into the plugs it wouldn't fire up until it dried out. Flooding with petrol sounds very very unlikely ..... franmac
  4. And the advertised gearknob ???? http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/ind...4&hl=quickshift Really Mark it's not a problem, just like to know if it was supposed to be included as per original advertisement. Had a full day now to get used to it and can highly recommend it to any member thinking of investing ..... a great addition to the car. franmac.
  5. Sorry Zee, too much of a huury to get it fitted !!!! never thought of taking a pic. But they do look really nice ...... Regarding the gearknob, the original post announcing the group buy stated "including alloy knob". Whats the story boys ?? http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/ind...4&hl=quickshift franmac.
  6. BTW Guys, the quickshift does NOT come with a gearknob. You must use your own. franmac
  7. Yes its B&M sorry folks. I'm already getting used to it Steve ... had it out for a few more miles earlier this evening. Reverse is so close to first anyway that the quickshift seems to exagerate this even more. I'd say Mrs. franmac may have problems with it, as it does require a fair amount of force to engage it. Driving it myself, it seems that if you are very "positive" with it, it works fantastically well. As thay say "he who hesitates is lost" and thats what it feels like. The faster you go for the next gear the better it all seems to work. Which i presume is exactly what its designed to be like !!! The more I drive it, and get used to it the more comfortable I am with it. hope this helps. franmac.
  8. Yes.... much much easier removing the jets from outside the bonnet. 2 mins. all done. franmac
  9. Recieved the B&M quickshift lever from TDi this morning. Opened box, looked really good, quality first class. 20 mins later had it fitted. Clear simple instuctions provided, had absolutely no issues fitting it. Went for a short spin to check all was OK. What a difference !!!! Really really sporty feel to the box. And believe me the shift is MUCH shorter. Very positive feel to the shift. and a huge improvement on the standard gearchange. Feels slightly notchy, and may take a bit of getting used to for some, but I love it. Only issue I have that maybe could be a little better is selecting reverse. Had to make more than 1 attempt on a few occasions but again I'm sure it's something that, when I get more used to it, I'll find easier. When fitted it looks the very same as the standard lever. Very happy with my latest mod and can highly recommend it if you like a sportier feel to your gearchange. Many thanks to Mark at TDi, a very efficient and painless transaction. franmac.
  10. I'll have one ..... asap ... don't want to wait for review. franmac.
