  1. Other than the two footwells and under the bonnet in front of the battery, anybody know where there are other fuses that I can check ? Don't really want to pull the headunit apart unless absolutely necessary. franmac2.

  3. Have a dead stereo after a little accident with a set of jump leads !!!!! Blew a main fuse and three other smaller fuses. All replaced now and everything is working fine, but stereo is dead. Clock won't hold the time either. Every time ignition is switched off clock resets to 1:00 . Have checked all fuses in passenger and drivers footwells, as well as under bonnet. Have checked leads coming to rear of stereo and have power coming to the headunit (constant and switched) Going to disassemble headunit tomorrow to see if I can locate an internal fuse. Any advice, suggestions or info. would be appreciated. franmac.

  11. Anyone know why my fuel gauge would have a mind of its own. When driving the gauge doesn't move. When ignition is switched off and on again I get the correct reading i.e. it has dropped down the gauge. When it is filled to the top it reads correctly, when ignition is switched off the needle seems to settle somewhere different every time. As far as I can remember it used to drop to the bottom when ignition was off. Don't know whats going on ...... BTW does the low fuel warning light get its reading from the gauge or is it a separate system ? franmac

  15. Thats why you measure the stroke of the piston, and not the depth of the cylinder. You are not measuring the size of the cylinder, only the air displaced by the piston moving within that cylinder. Hence its called swept capacity. franmac.
  16. The length of stroke of the piston multiplied by the bore of the cylinder multiplied by the number of cylinders. i.e. the amount of air displaced by the pistons moving in the cylinders. franmac
