  3. There's a company in the UK called "Jenvey Dynamics" who are into all that side of things. Specialize in competition cars but I'm sure they'd give you some advice on where to start. franmac.
  4. Have my headunit back after repair and have noticed that it doesn't seem to be recieving the RDS signal from any radio station. Channel name is not coming up on the screen. I'm sure I saw the channel name on it once since it's return, but nothing now. "RDS" is not coming up on the screen either. Any ideas folks ?? franmac.

  7. Anyone else had one apart ? and if so, is it possible to remove the fuel gauge without doing a load of damage ? franmac
  8. How difficult would this be to do Colin ? Did think of that but looked fairly complicated in there and wouldn't want to end up with two clocks f****d up. !! If it was straight forward I'd certainly try it. Have you taken one apart before ? franmac.
  9. Been having a problem with the fuel gauge on my 2000 reg. IS. Not a major issue just a bit annoying thats all. Went into a local breaker yesterday and came across a 2002 IS. Asked the guy in charge if I could try the cluster from the 2002 in my 2000 to see if it would cure my problem. Anyway I put in the cluster from the 2002 and the fuel gauge and all warning lights worked perfectly except for the ABS warning light was on. Reset the ECU but still had the ABS light on. Plugs at the back of the clusters were identical, only difference in clusters that I could see was the MPG gauge and the TEMP gauge were the opposite way around. My question is this, was the 2002 cluster faulty or are they just not compatible ? So near and yet so far ....... it even had the right mileage on it ..... franmac
  10. 2000 IS200 with CD on the bottom and no amp., what colour wire do I tap in to ? Phone kit Nokia CK-7W. franmac.
  11. I think you will find that the ACPO GUIDELINES do actually state 10% and not 10 mph. I mean 42 mph is limit + 40% !! franmac
  12. 30 mph + 10% = 33 mph + 2 = 35 mph .......
  13. I'm interested in doing something similar and would appreciate some advice and links to suppliers of these systems at reasonable prices. Even some members of LOC upgrading their system and willing to sell. Don't want to spend a lot of money as the mapping for Ireland isn't really up to scratch yet. franmac
  14. Here is a picture of this type armrest fitted in my car. However as mentioned already in this thread, the one for sale on ebay is for a left hand drive car. As far as I remember these were specially commissioned by Carson Toyota in the US as part of a group buy earlier last year. http://www.lexusownersclub.com/gallery/album01/armrest3_jpg franmac
  15. New IS200 headunit here in Ireland is € 2,500 +VAT, however they do an exchange scheme, (look for the same part no. with "ex" at the end), headunit then costs € 1,250 +VAT. franmac.
  16. Sorry, just re-read your post and see its an Altezza. Afraid you'll have to find one in a breakers or fork out for repair. Sorry. franmac.
  17. Company here in Ireland (Dublin) called "Lawless Automotive" they repair and sell all kinds of in-car entertainment. After my recent adventures with a set of jump leads, I finally got my stereo back today from the above mentioned . Blown microprocessor (€120+VAT), got it working and discovered faulty CD mechanism (long story). TotaL cost for repair €533.45. Feeling a bit sore at the moment .......... Anyway, back to the ERR 3 problem. Your stereo should be covered by the extended 5 year warranty on the stereo from Lexus. (precisely because of this problem) Good luck, franmac.
  18. Bought my CK-7W from here and fitted myself, very straightforward. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...6324601223&rd=1 franmac.
