    colorado is 3.0 diesel manual so it has to be better i think they are about 28mpg Only prob is they want about 12 grand for one with 90,000 on clock so not good value for money when u consider my Gs300 has 30k and cost me 10 grand .

    I am thinking i should try to sell it as i do highish mileage a year although i might leave it a couple of months and enjoy it a bit. I realy wish i had looked into it a little deeper at time of buying ,still cannot fault car and love driving it .If anyone knows of a toyota colarado for sale let me know as i think this will be replacement car (how boring).

    around 22 mpg i think but i have had car 3 weeks and put in nearly £200 it just drinks it .i had had T5 volvo before and thought that was bad but this is worse (better car though).I wouldn't mind but we have not realy been far in it.p.s if i go gold do i get fuel dis :D count

    I have had my GS300 for 3 weeks now and the fuel consumption is far higher than expected .Is it worth me going to LPG , will it make a terrific amount of difference .The only other option i have is to sell car :( and buy a diesel toyota colarado (the car the wife wanted in the first place ).its a mk 1 GS300 sport 30,000m full lexus history aspen green, 11 months and a week warranty ;) (lexus ).any advice welcome .

    they said their approved garage but as some lexus garages farm out their bodywork i suspose they have to say this .

    Sorry i know this is n't lexus related but my father in law is pulling his hair out over this .he has just bought an a4 with a bose Audi stereo and wants to add a multi play in the boot he has been told it has to be bose is this true or can he buy sony etc with some sort of adapter any advice appreciated.

    I would have liked to gone with lexus insurance but for £950 difference it just was not worth it .i would rather put up with the punto courtisy car (just think of the fuel saving) .Also they said they could not say for sure that my car would go to lexus for repairs if it was damaged but stated it would go to one of their approved garages.

    Just had quotes for insurance for GS300 mk1 sport .35 years old ,full ncb ,living in kent .Lexus approved insurance quoted £1350.00 and everyone else around £700.00 .So i tried tescos £400.00 ,i could not beleive they are so cheap compared to lexus so i phoned them and they said they were far superior and offerd a better service but £950 difference can this be right .Also why is the mk2 Gs430 in insurance group 17 and my car group 19 the mk 2 is much more powerfull surely. anyone know of a cheaper company i could try i have done all the obvious ones .

    Problem is lexus tonbridge did not know this site even existed so discount from them probably a no no .So could anyone tell me of a main dealer close to walderslade (kent)that offers the discount.thanks

    Just bought 1996 gs 300 sport 30,000m and paid 10k from main dealer so price seems about right for yours .the only thing i would say to check is 60k service yours must be about due and it is about £600 you might be able to get dealer to do it or haggle it off the price .other than that i think they are a great car and cannot fault mine other than petrol consumption is a little high .Good luck

    Picked my Gs300 up two weeks ago from lexus tonbridge and it has to GO BACK friday for rac check so i hope they are good .Does anyone know how much they check or is it just the obvious bits, and do they check paint work .

    My wife orded some contact lenses from usa thinking she would save roughley £30 a month only to find customs had opened package and sent us a letter demanding we pay the duty on them .This came to nearley £30 defeating the object of buying them from usa .However we refused to pay the duty and contacted company in usa who refunded us in full only to receice package a month later from customs with out paying duty .So i would phone customs to see if it has been seized by the money grabbing gits.

    Look in the back of auto trader there is plenty of people advertising mileage correction ,they do it with a computer not sure as to wether they can do your car but worth a go perhaps the dealer will pay for it to be done.

    Please can anyone tell me if it is normal for the radio to have lots of bass but for the cd player to have hardly any .The difference is unbeleivable .I have a mk 1 gs 300 standard radio and cd .

    Poblem solved loose connection on speaker in rear shelf rectified itself while driving along sounds 100% better .I have bass at last ,Hope it stays working

    Gamesound it is a 96 on a n and it just seems muffled .I have tried all the knobs etc but it seems a lot better through the radio than the cd .It is probaly just me being fussy .Mind you i have had the car a week now and it has developed a realy bad shaking a bit like fuel starvation or electrical fault .It is an intermitent fault and seems to clear itself but annoying all the same any advice would be gratefull.the car is the sport model and has covered 29,000 miles full dealer history

    So i take it you mean change rear speaker .And as much as i like the is200 is that not the car that everyone seems to own nowdays i think i,ll stick with something a little different .Thanks for the advice. :D

    Picked up Gs300 yesterday and after doing approx 100miles am very happy with car .The only thing i can fault it on is the stereo (not enough bass ).Are there any quick fixes for this or do u have to replace whole unit .Also is there any benifit from running on super unleaded or will standard unleaded do .

    Thanks for your replies I still have to pick car up today from lexus tonbridge so some haggling to do you never know they might chuck in a set after all it is a 10 grand car .Any advice on other pre delivery ponts would be appreciated.

    I am picking up 1996 Gs300 tomorrow 30,000 m sport model from main lexus agent .They quoted me £170 for a set of mats please could anyone advise on cheaper ones and were to get them
