I am busting to do some mods to my gs300 but their dos'ent seem to be many sites that do them for this car has anyone alse put mods on their mk1 gs and if so what .I need ideas can they be chipped,clear indicaters, etc and is it worth doing.

Just found it and it is 23mm,21mm,19mm,17mm and has the numbers DIN 899 written on it

When i first bought my sport i found a spider type wheel brace in the boot and thought it had been left by the previous owner so i chucked it in the garage :( .looks like i need to find it again.Sounds like your problem is solved as i can 't see any other reason for the thing to be in my boot as i bought from a main dealer and i would imagine they would have taken it out if it served no purpose.

my boot lid is factory fit and it still slams very quickly if u let go of it. i cant see any way of stopping it if u manage to sort it let me know how as it slams that badly it seems like something is going to break

Has got to be the BMW as golf starting to look a bit dated and i think the volvo shares its floorpan with the mistibushi charisma -
That seems to be what the manual is saying and mine shows no message either .So i would say that there is no code in stereo unless put in by a previous owner .The reason probaly is that it is so confusing to put one in that no one bothers .Good luck

Used autoglym extra gloss protection on car today it goes on like baby oil and has to be left for an hour to dry then you can buff it off .I would recomend this to anyone it looks the dogs do da's .I have never had so many comments on the car .

Mine has the little dome thing by the windscreen but only has 2 settings on the stalk is yours an import as this could be why yours has and mine has not

Chips away can do chips that size and my mk1 seems pretty good for stone chips so i think just bad luck in your case .

On my mk1 GS there is a switch on the wiper stalk that moves the wipers down closer to the bonnet has anyone got a clue why

Key has chip in it for immobiliser so i would say lexus and big bucks.It states in manual that you need key nos to get key ordered
