  1. I would say for the money you are spending miles are about right .lower miles would mean dearer car i had probs finding a low mile car and when i did cost lots more £9500 for a n reg .
  2. I have the same thing with my gs300 slightly ticky around 3000rpm but when taken above this noise go,s i always thought it was the injectors but am now starting to wonder .it is under warrenty still so might get it checked out
  3. Mine makes bit of a noise just thought it was normal really clunks when it comes on.
  4. Yes you are right The sport was launched october 95 and after jan 96 had high level brake light ,updated security system ,lockable wheel nuts and an option of 10" rear alloys . :D.So the first car you are looking at is probaley not a sport .
  5. Since when did the sport come with side skirts and tinted windows etc .I would go for the sport much better looking car .the sport has small rear spoiler ,18" alloys, and is lowered with a mesh grill ,sport stickers on rear quarter glass and that is about it .Of cause you can add on the drug dealer extras if you please :D
  6. I am probaly reading this post wrong but did you say 2 grand for 15-20 bhp increase
  7. I thought all lexus and toyotas came with a can of paint like the one in my boot or did they stop this on the later cars
  8. You should get a high mileage 96-97 plate for around 6k but i would go for the sport still as conversion can be costly 18" rims don,t come cheap. Also avoid blue it is known as doom blue in the trade due to being very hard to sell.Getting back to your origonal post i would think a good respray would be around £700 - £800 pounds but i would add the money to purchase of car and spend a bit more if you can.
  9. I second that :D.Far to many do gooders in this country .
  10. If every burglar thought he would be shot and killed every time he did a crime i am sure crime rates would fall . :tsktsk: them all you have to be scum to break into somebodys home .As for resonable force who cares they know the risks .This country is to soft on these type of scum .The sun is doing a colletion to pay his legal fee,s and i know i will pledge some money .
  11. I use lexus tonbridge and my only complaint is they have two showrooms one lexus one toyota next to each other. But if you go into the toyota showroom you can see into the workshop were they work on both marks of car .The weird thing is from the lexus showroom you can see nothing .When i asked for a toyota mechanic to work on my gs i was told they was not trained to do so (bang went my 25££ an hour saving).I pointed out that my car was a supra based saloon so they could do it, but got a no once again.
  12. Getting back to the first post at least he killed himself before he had the chance to kill anyone else :D .see there is always a bright side one less idiot on the road
  13. Have to agree spent months trying to find low mile mk1 sport and could easily have bought a mk2 for same money .They just have not got the same road presence as the mk1 :D .
  14. :yack: :yack: :yack: :yack: Me thinks someone should set up a poll on this one
  15. Do they do one for the gs300 as all the power seems to be in the upper revs
  16. I don,t think you can looked through owners manual and not a mention
  17. I think even though you can buy a ferrari for 15k the reasoning behind these kits are you get the looks without the running costs and the reliabilty problems also the insurance must be cheaper .They used to do one for the capri that made it look like a ferrari testarossa .And another that made it look like a aston martin ,But i now what you mean they do look a bit pony :yack: .What you have to remember is that not all mr2 owners are as passionate about the car as you are :winky: .
  18. i AGREE price sounds very high think you could do a lot better. Also be sure that front has not been resprayed as high miles on motorway and lack of chips on front sounds a bit iffy.
  19. Hope the child is ok ,a lot harder to fix than a car .Am i the only parent on this site I can understand your anger towards motorbikes swerving in and out of traffic etc but it is stated that the girl went to hospital .Lets get our priorites right was she badly injured
  20. Theres a PRATTS BOTTOM near orpington in kent and LYMINGE :D in kent as well
  21. Do you know this child as you seem pretty aware of her mental state and the fact she is a ***** .I am thinking she did not do it on purpose and this was an accident so i would think that if you spoke to her parents they would be willing to pay for the damages to the car, i know i would if one of my girls cycled into someones car.If not your insurance or a small claims court is the only way.Good luck
  22. I notice your car is red and a hard colour to match, they tend to always look different colours under street lights i think it has something to do with the pigment in the paint .I would go for the respray or at least the whole side.
