  1. They do-suggest placing in another spray bottle with better spray pattern but i dudnt have anything to hand. First peoduct of this type ive tried. I did try just spraying but it didnt seem to cover well then read bottle and it does say to agitate for full coverage. Tbh it hasnt left any marks in the paint so it seems ok. it smells ok but i wouldnt splash it all over 😂
  2. Ahh, yeah that was the autoglym magma iron fallout remover. Tbh first time ive used it but seemed to work well. Basically spray on then soft wipe over with a mitt/cloth then leave for 5mins. Feels rough on paint and i had doubts how easy it would come off but powerwashed off fine. Used most of bottle to get around car so 1bottle 1 use really.
  3. Well no it wasnt really a dirty bucket lol. after a year and a half of ownership in still happy with the paint finish on my ct. Just finished the morning giveing her the summer coat of wax. basic list was... preassure wash each stage... citrus prewash snowfoam wash fallout remover claybar remaining tar removed wax windows/tyres dressed she came up well after few winter washes due to constantly raining when i could wash her lol.
  4. Lovely car, are you going to lpg this one? Seem to remember you have prior knowledge
  5. Followed for a bit this morning on way to work. Clean. Nice. Think it was blue but it was early lol
  6. Not sure but has my thread gone off topic? Interesting comments on other subjects all the same my thoughts. 1. If you get a ticket , dont panic , consider options to fight. With a bit of effort your cash stays in your wallet. 2. If you care about door dents.... dont park near people who dont. 3. If you have a blue badge, use it... if you dont , think yourself lucky you dont have one.
  7. Since owning my black ct, i just find parking requires a little more thought. My local mall parking has several spaces on their own, so if i head into town i get there early. At work i park next to guys who think the same with nice cars. In an area i dont know its a little harder but usually can find a spot im happy with or just walk a bit further. Always park on the end of a row and next to the passenger side if poss that way your 50/50 theres only a driver. I dont do door dents lol. Drives the mrs crazy looking for a space im happy with. Can appriciate two door cars are longer and need more space. It can be done,
  8. Never ever, call a parking co. They record call but you will have no record of the conversation. Email is best as its give a trail. Another trick they use after the toothless debt collector letters is to go quiet. People think they give up but in reality they have 6yrs to chase people. They give it a while then start again believing people will have forgotten any relevant information, while they still have it in a file. Hopefully your past the 6. As for contacting companies to cancel its a case of always researching the ceo and contacting directly. Customer services or store managers are usually useless. The parking co aim is to get people to pay out of panic and belief they have no course of action when actually with a bit of research they can usually be beaten.
  9. Exactly, and as im required to be there at contracted hours im not stopping anyome else from parking anyway. Not sure why my company brought them in there never was ant big issue with parking. Now there is lol. As its done n dusted ,no, ill let it sleep. Iol. They have been really good to me on other issues in my time there.
  10. Clever stuff, i thought all books had to have the ISBN , surprised i couldnt find it.
  11. Possibly never intended for sale? Like a inhouse gift book or something? Bottom of page .... library of congress no.... us market only? Not sure. When i looked up lexus books all i ever found was this one and the pursuit of perfection story. That had little pictures and was a bit heavy going, but still interesting.
  12. None in front or back. Its a limited 5000 leather bound issue. Looks like printed in china for us market. I did research before order and theres a non badged non leather edition . A leather chrome badge version and the black chrome badge version ( i think lol) just kept checking ebay , theres usually some on there at varying prices. this is all the info pages......
  13. So my book arrived today. Been looking at usa ebay for a while for the right one/price. Can only say im impressed, leather bound with the black chrome embossed emblem. Will finish the book im reading and crack on with this one, can only be interesting.
  14. Well its a job done. The bolts holding the light were surprisingly only hand tight however the bugger refused to slide out . After overtrying i snapped a piece of the black trim off . Oh well it happens. Looks ok all seated back in. The method i found worked for me was to tape under the lights to protect paint. Then at one edge feed in an old tshirt cloth soaked in some neat citrus prewash. The corners worked out easy but the centre part needed a thin screwdriver to push the cloth in more to make contact. Gently pushing the cloth along cleared the mould. Tried small brush and a old toothbrush but the angle wasnt right as the lens angles in at the bottom the bristles have to bend back which they wouldnt do lol.
  15. Its actually the lens on the tailgate so im guessing theres a similar panel ( cant think from memory) . However its tipping it down so rain stop play lol
  16. easy job for tommorow then . Weather permiting lol
  17. Good shouts guys, ill try both. ,
  18. Car is 1 1/2 yrs old .Just cleaned the 200 and noticed theres a small amount of green mould just starting under the tailgate light assy. Hard to see in pic but its there. Car is regularly cleaned using good practice. Obviously this is a small water trap between the plastics and paint. Has anyone else noticed this on theirs? Any tips to clean or will i need to remove the unit?
  19. When i had my Ls there was a trip betweeen work sites for a lecture we had to attend. I had 3 colleagues with me and the guy behind in his tt had a passenger. Lets say we were making good progress to the meeting and with a slight bend in the road approaching i pulled over to let the tt passed. He pulled in behind me. When we arrived i asked why he didnt fly passed? His reply was that was all he had. The Ls had plenty more to give. Reminded me now how much i need another lol
  20. Was a year ago but im sure two came in mine, log out and check gold member sign up. Sure it says club stickers, then next level up gets tshirt too.
  21. Cant remember wether theyre silver or white but through the smoke glass their subtle. Perfect
  22. Thats correct, up to 2012 they could place a ticket for the driver on the car and hope you paid. In 2012 the Protection of Freedoms Act sched4 allows parking co's to go after the registered keeper. The game is to appeal as the registered keeper saying the driver passed me the ticket. Technically possible from one hand to the other. The parking co has no way to find a drivers name or address as they only ticket the car. The RK then appeals and to hold the keeper liable the parking co has to jump through a lot of legal hoops and timelines to stay within the law. The only details they can get from the dvla are the Rk details but to hold the keeper liable they have to fulfill the requirements of pofa2012 Sched4. Have a quick read! Took me about 10 tries to make sense of it but it works for both parties. As i dealt with my ticket and it had my full attention the parking co's have offices dealing with 1000's and if you know where to look they can be tripped up. My ticket stated the car was viewed between 10am -10.40am and they supplied me with photographic evidence of the ticket on the car. . After looking at in for about a week i realised the time stamp on the photos was 9.41am which proved the ticket was written before 10am . Pofa states the ticket must be placed on the vehicle at the END of the viewed period. Pofa is uk law so the ticket was issued falsely. No option but to cancel. Another winning point. I appealed just before the 28day deadline saying i was registered keeper and gave them my address. Pofa states for a windscreen ticket where the driver is unknown to hold the keeper liable they have to apply to the dvla and send me a notice to keeper before 56 days pass. By giving them my address they didnt bother. By reading pofa i learnt they couldnt hold me liable. They rely on peoples lack of knowledge. Always fight most people with the right advice can get a good result. Any tickets recieved always check they have complied with their associations code of practice and protection of freedoms act 2012 Sched4. You always get 28days fot the intial appeal. never rush and pay.
  23. My works carpark has employed a outside parking co to monitor employees park in allocated spaces ( management and grunts have different spaces) and to make sure its not used by public. A condition of the use is to display a permit. Many people stick it to to window, many put it in place everyday. Me only working four days a week didnt want it on show on my days off. After 9 mnths i finally forgot to put it in place and got a ticket. My fault but hey ho. Approached my management and they had no interest in helping to cancel the charge for a 22yr employee. Thinking £70 is not really a justifieable amount to pay for forgetting to display a permit for one day i decided to research and fight it through the appeals process. I joined the pepipoo motoring forum and taking advice fought my case. With research i proved the ticket was not issued legally and they had not issued a correct notice to keeper. In fact with more knowledge i proved they had failed several statutes in the protection of freedoms act 2012 ( pofa ) and several of their governing bodies code of practice and as such could not hold me liable. I never mentioned the failure to display a valid permit. I fought them on their own terms and conditions which they could not get right as required by law. My appeal was upheld and the charge cancelled. So if you get a ticket on council or private land do not rush out and pay the reduced amount thinking if you dont it will cost more. The idea is to pay nothing. It takes some time and effort ,yes. Parking co's rely on the fact that people panic and pay, when with a little effort you can avoid paying using the law and their own procedures to your advantage.
  24. Yes its is low and not ideal but needed for the rear cam to see out the back porthole lol. No problems driving ,ive had more obstructive airfresheners lol. If i ever got pulled id just move it up for a bit . power feed from 12v in center consol. I never use it so bought a 12v socket from ebay. Took center consol apart disconnected +/- from socket and connected my bought one into that. Power lead fed around window and under dash and standard 12v push plug into new socket. Again not ideal but i knew how to do that rather than fusebox lol. Been running a year no issues. everyone does it differently but i wouldnt run without one now.
  25. Always place a cloth over the screwdriver to soften any contact. These panels are usually tight so a firm careful hand required. heres mine in place. I wired mine from the 12v supply in the center console so its all out of sight.
